Also, in his essay it seemed to me that his theory of archetypes was articulated in the narrow context of dream interpretation. I haven't read the other three parts of the book. But I wonder if Jung had meant to apply the theory outside of that psychoanalytic context, i.e. a session between analyst and the dreaming patient.

napaka weird talaga ng collective unconscious, kasi tulad sa example dito, about sa motherhood, the way na nagrereact yung mga bagong panganak na mga nanay di ba dapat dahil yun sa complexes nila rather than collective unconscious?
@JPBuduan3 жыл бұрын
ang complexes kasi is well, more complex so nadedevelop sila during childhood na kapag may abstraction (language, concepts etc) na yung bata. meanwhile ang collective unconscious is more archaic or ancient kumbaga, i can argue na its more animalistic or instinctual compared sa complexes kaya collective unconscious ang mas maeexplain sa universality ng motherhood sa human race. Ang complexes on the other hand is more personal hindi universal. Sana nakatulong to at di ka mas nalito. hahaha

@@JPBuduan oo sir, pero diba, kasi na experience na ng isang babae magkaroon ng nanay or nalaman niya kung paano mag alaga ang isa nanay through her personal experience kaya imbis na nainherit niya yung trait na yun sa ancestor, naranasan niya mismo? hshshshshshahahaha
@JPBuduan3 жыл бұрын
@@jvaliente9094 Yes, you have a valid point on that. But that does not explain the universality of the experience of being a mother. As you know, people have different circumstances in life, different culture, different geographies and different histories but despite that, mayroon pa ring pagkakapare-parehas ng experiences about motherhood. Why is that? Ang sabi ni Jung, that is because of the collective unconscious nga. Of course there are slight differences but in Jung's study of different culture, images and symbols about motherhood, experience of motherhood, myths about motherhood is almost the same in all cultures around the world despite being miles apart (even before modern air travel). Again, one explanation that Jung gave is the existence nga of the collective unconscious 🙂

@@JPBuduan one more thing sir, about sa kung saan galing yung anima and animus, galing siya sa interaction with different women/men sa buhay ng isang lalake/babae??? or na misunderstood ko lang, kasi kung ganun, diba dapat ang archetype is namamana natin? not naeexperience???

I just finished reading Jung's essay "Approaching the Unconscious." It's Part 1 (the first 100 pages ) of the book "Man and His Symbols." I believe most of the material you discussed here is touched in that essay. Is that the primary source for most of his ideas? Would you recommend any of Jung's other writings?

if batman is the dark side of bruce wayne, then who is joker to batman/bruce wayne? (just curious)
@JPBuduan3 жыл бұрын
Actually, in my opinion, bruce wayne is the persona, batman is an embodiment of shadow (arguably, Batman is the true self and not just the dark side) if we will look at the personality of batman/bruce. in a more thematic perspective naman of the story, joker represents the Trickster who sows chaos and Batman represents Order. It is really a matter of perspective. Haha

Uhmm. I like Carl Jungs Theory, but one thing im sure i came from the dust not apes🤣 Also, collective unconscious is possible because we talk our experiences from generation to generation. Thus those thoughts we have gathered are placed under personal unconscious contributes collective unconscious
