From my experience, the shadow v2 is completely garbage out of the box. Only after extensive setting up, lubing and break in (1000 solves for me) where it surpasses the mgc. The problem is most people are so discouraged by its performance out of the box and do not give the cube enough chances for it to be that good. Here are some tips to set it up: - Completely clean the cube by TAKING IT APART COMPLETELY. Yes its necessary, the factory lube is completely garbage and you don’t want it to mix with your personal lubes. - Put the cube back together and lube it slightly with very light silicone. Traxxas 10k and stuff like lunar from SCS or angstrom lubes from TC would be desirable. - Break it in, this is the longest process in which it took me about 3-4 weeks for my shadow v2 to reach its fullest potential. It also required about 1000 solves to do so. I would highly recommend preparing lunar from SCS or Dnm-37 from TC to keep the lube setup fresh since we don’t put alot of lube in the first place. I’m not kidding when I say that this is the best 6x6, its just alot of people aren’t giving it chances. My times have dropped about 10 seconds that I now average 2:10-2:20 on 6x6 by using this cube. I encourage everyone who has the shadow v2 to do the above the give the cube some sort of chance. Its never pops, and is more stable, reliable, and only a tiny bit slower than the mgc at its maximum potential.
@altt39544 жыл бұрын
Yeah this is quite unfortunate but the shadow v2 is quite the tough cube to set up. Mine also required over 1k solves for it to be better than the mgc.

@@sawyersmith96 it's very very slightly more difficult than a 2x2 cube. But not loads at all. The kilominx is like a 2x2 cube, and a megaminx is like a 3x3 cube. And solving them uses very similar methods to 2x2 and 3x3 cubes, just adjusted slightly for the new shape. They're really fun. Modern megaminxes turn incredibly well, they're absolutely speedcubes now. I got the new Dayan megaminx recently, it's excellent, it turns and corner cuts very well, doesn't lock up, just very nice. (Please reply) Please help me to learn auf When I recognize pll normally I can predict the auf easily but now I finished learning 2 side pll recognition and now I'm unable to predict auf, what should I do? Please help🙏
@mistabutd11014 жыл бұрын
Practice over and over and then you’ll eventually learn again like you used to
@isacubes4 жыл бұрын
Practice by first recognizing pll, predicting auf, then looking at each of the two side recognitions to see how they will be affected by auf. Then mess up the last later and try to just look at two sides and use that information to predict it. I've had this problem too, and it mostly comes down to recognizing in blocks instead of colors (like for two side pll). Your brain needs to understand where the blocks are based on the two sides. It takes a while and I can't do it perfectly yet either (I average ~17).
@JPerm4 жыл бұрын
Don't predict AUF from the initial PLL recognition. Do the correct U move so that you're seeing the case from the normal angle, then predict AUF as you start the alg. Of course, don't pause to look at the pattern, just look as you're turning.

Does it really have better grip than frosted? I was kinda expecting the soft to have the best grip, hearing it's worse than frosted was a surprise. As for UV I don't really have a good reference as I have never seen UV coated plastic before.

@AntaresSQ014 жыл бұрын
Not particularly related to the video but I just got a Moyu RS3M for christmas as part of me coming back to cubing, I used to rock good old classics such as Moyu Aolong V1, Dayan Zhanchi V2, Gans 357, Fangshi shuangren. I generally prefer slower controllable cubes so I really liked my Shuangren and the Aolong, but the aolong was incredibly unstable and the shuangren tended to twist corners very easily even with being set up as best as i could, it was a nice cube though, I didn't particularly like the Zhanchi and the gans as they were very fast cubes with both having extremely notchy feeling, I got the gans as I heard it had insane corner cutting for the time, and it was the first cube i had that could actualyl comfortably do 45° corner cuts and 3/4 piece reverse cuts. I was too lazy to learn advanced PLL and OLL for a very long time so I still use 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL for the most part, however I'm slowly learning the algs and starting to incorporate them. And then this is where the story gets interesting. I was averaging mid 30s with average scrambles and had a PB of 26 sec with a lucky scramble, few 28s and 29s with normal scrambles. However I got the RS3M and immediately i noticed how insanely fast it was even when compared to the Zhanchi. It's insane how much cubes evolved as I thought "how could they get so much better especially since 90% of the manufacturers used very similar designs anyway". Boy was I wrong. As I said I'm by no means very fast but immediately after getting this cube, not even past break in, literally 10 solves in I got a 22.32 and since I've been averaging 29s and that 22 wasn't even particularly lucky scramble just kinda clicked. It's insane how much faster these new cubes are especially when you consider the 2020 RS3M can be had for under 10 bucks. Biggest issue with this cube is that my previous 6-7 mains that were all about equally good for my solve times just all became obsolete and are horrible to go back to... Now i have to make a new lineup starting with the Yuxin little magic M as another highly rated budget cube and potentially the Huanglong, maybe once I've confirmed that these are all good I'll splurge for one of the more high end 3x3s like the Weilong GTS3 or Gan 356X (though 60 bucks for a 3x3 is tough to swallow when u can have 4 budget cubes for that price that are already insane) It's just insane to me how forgiving the RS3M is with turns because of the magnets, yet at the same times turns smoother and faster than any cube i've had, all this while managing corner cutting at ANY angle, if you're past regular corner cuts it'll just turn into reverse corner cutting. It has made finger tricks possible that I've never tried on my cubes such as using my top of my pinky to do a B' turn. On my older cubes I was pretty much relegated to using the insides of my fingers for turns and also had to make sure I always cover the space between pieces to keep the layers in line as much as i could.
@CubeRiser4 жыл бұрын
I recommend not buying the 356 X because it's over 2 years old and there are a lot of better cubes for cheaper prices, if you want a cube similar to the 356 X then get either the MeiLong 3M or GAN 356 M, I would recommend the MeiLong as it's stabler and cornercuts better, but make sure to get the factory magnetized version as that's better than the old one. If you want to try a lightweight cube I would suggest the DaYan GuHong V4, it's a really amazing cube, effortless to turn, good magnet strength ,overall very solid cube. The Yuxin Little Magic M is now very outdated, it'll still feel better than the ZhanChi, Gans Air etc. but not as good as the RS3M 2020 or a MeiLong 3M. Also the RS3M 2020 actually has better performance than a 356 X and GTS3M.

I know how to make a working 1x1x1 all you have to do is cut it into 2 sets of 3 faces and as you rotate them it gets moved up on an axle, then it goes back down rotated 60*. It would only have 3 positions but it could be mixed, maybe someone else could give some other ideas to mix it in as many ways as possible
