Thank you, very helpful video. When I pulled out the rotor from casing, the shims stuck on magnets. I am not able to determine the correct position of them. The only exploded view I have seen so far, is the one you have it. Can you upload it somewhere, since the link in the description is broken. Thanks.

Thank you for that very clear and helpful video.. your disassembly instructions helped me clear out a stuck burr! That solves one problem. The handpiece I have seems to be running fine now. But I have another problem with the control unit also. The motor runs only at one speed oh, and I don't know what that is. The control knob does not change speeds at all. Have you had a problem similar to that? How do I get my speed control back? Have you ever had a problem with the control box itself and do you have any experience with fixing the speed control? Any suggestions from you will be very helpful, thank you again.

I have had this problem on Marathon 3. It's a transistor failure inside the control box, caused by an input voltage problem. Replace the transistor should be resolve it.

Where could I find a COLLET CHUCK or Wrench to remove the collet? I can't find it at Patterson or Rams website.

For anyone, once you have taken the unit apart, changing the bearings is simple. just slide the old one off and the new one on.

Can you share where you purchased the bearings. Ram says they won't sell them. They said to sent them the hand piece.

junk handpiece. i know the owner of the company that makes these.. my father was in this business for over 45 years .. need parts i have some still left from my dads old repair company.. nsk so much better
