It's not a mistake. It is a learning process. If you knew how to do it, and did it incorrectly, that would be a mistake. But during learning, there are no mistakes. You just move forward and hit it again until you figure out what works best

I appreciate your effort. These tires are never easy in a home garage. You showed great determination that was ultimately met with success. Forget the jokers on here that offer negative comments and probably can't trim their own toe nails yet alone inflate a late tubeless tire. You learn by trying, failing and trying again until you succeed. Keep the videos coming.

Hey thanks for putting this up. What was really important about your video was that you also showed the many attempts that it took you to do this. And you also demonstrated all the other options you exercised and your thought process for getting this done as you met this challenge head on. The value for us is that you showed that it would also take a little bit of ingenuity, patience, practice & will to succeed. Way to go man, 2 thumbs up! Hey also I liked your editing when you showed all of your attempts. It was hilarious at first but when you succeeded it was like DAMN he did it! Works better with tire standing up. Soap both beads, bounce the tire and wheel and with the valve stem down, blast the top. Where did you get the psi for different tires? I have always filled them with tool hose pressure (95psi) and use a cage for split rims.

That was a tough one. I change quite a few trailer tires. 275/70R22.5. They seat really well usually without the bead seater. If they don’t it only takes one blast.

I was trying to mount a new Chinese 225/75-15 trailer tire with the sidewalls collapsed together from being stacked on top of each other. I couldn't get the beads to seat until I watched this video. I had to flip it upside down and put it on a 5 gallon bucket, then I put the air chuck on it and blasted it from the back with a Cheetah tank. It beaded right up.

Thank you for the informative film. I'm going to use a portable Bead Seater (XK USA, 8 L), can you compare w/the one you used. And also when you spray a lot of water on the tire which is not sealed, that water can go inside of the tire.Can it cause a problem? It was interesting to know that you used 2 straps (I was planning to use 1). So finally it worked when you used that blower without the black hose, which was simultaneously inflating the tire, is that correct?

hook up air, spray inner rim with starting fluid, throw match. mild explosion expands air rapidly and sets bead. throw sand or water on tire if u have a small flame on outside of tire from any overspray. obviously inside goes out immediately when starved of air. fill to proper psi. works well on large tires. scary first couple times u do it but u can get good at it. I have seen truckers do this without removing tire. As always, never try this at home.
@chiraldude

What if he had used bead sealer goo instead? It seems like the soap added too much lubrication so that the bead just pulled away instead of staying put. Another thing I think is a factor is temperature. From the fall leaves on the ground and long sleeve shirt it must have been lower than 50 deg. If the tire could have been warmed up to 70-80 degrees would it have been less stiff and not pulled away from the rim so quick? Not really convinced this tool is any better than using the starting fluid/fire method!

Oh the memories. I tried to mount these EXACT Hummer H1 tires on 12" wide aluminum 16.5 wheels. These tires need a narrow wheel, then they mount real nicely. My experience was a total fail mounting the 5 tires I had, so I took it to Les Schwab. It took 2 of those kicker tanks and 3 tire guys to mount each tire, but they got it done. So what happens when you lose air pressure, or air down for sand? Yep. they fall right off the bead. And with the sidewalls as stiff as they are, no amount of starting fluid sprayed into the tire will seat that bead on the trail. Great tire, just use a narrow wheel!
