Fun playthrough and much closer than I thought it could possibly be. One thing your printer failed on is that green on her AI cards looked blue so might need to check your yellow tank. And a game with 0 dice! You needed the break. ;)

Yeah - I desperately needed a dice-break but then again: didn't help me either :-D I believe I bought the cheap toner and guess I won't do that again ;-)

The game turned out much closer than I thought it would, Markus! I really thought she was wiping the floor with you, lol.

Haha - that was my thought for about 2 and half ages too, Stasia! :-D

Interesting AI - are there different AI "decks" for each opponent, or do they all prefer military and science before anything else? I wrote an AI for Tribes, TWO for Thunder Alley (but the second one was better), and another one for Automobiles - each was harder than I expected! I have never played any version of 7 Wonders ... I don't know why? I don't own it, and it's never hit the table whenever I've been out with friends. Looks interesting, though; especially for two players.

That's a good question but there is only one decision deck, so it's always red, green or the color of the respective leader. For whatever reason, it still feels really different :-D

I am looking for a game that is fantasy or horror based with at least a somewhat decent story that can be played in a decent amount of time per session. 30 - 60 minutes. As well as a small to medium footprint on the table. I enjoy Dungeon Saga and Eldritch Horror, Descent and Hexplore It. I use to think I enjoyed Dungeon style games more but after watching gameplay of Fortune and Glory and A Touch of Evil as well as playing Hexplore it I think I am leaning more toward Adventure. Exceptions are games with a good town aspect included like Dungeon Saga and Shadows of Brimstone. A friend of mine said I may like a couple of the tiny epic series. Do you have any suggestions?

Hey Julie - sorry for the late reply but somehow your comment made to "likely spam" here on KZbin; not really sure why though. Anyway: Fantasy/Horror in 30-60 minutes sounds like a challenge :-D Have you considered "The Elder Sign"? It doesn't come with a lot of "story telling" but it's a very solid game (still playing it from time to time). I believe I only ever played one tiny epic game and that was the "Space"-one but I could imagine that the "Fantasy"-one is fun. Get it and let me know if I should get it... deal? :-D

If I get a Tiny Epic game I will let you know. Thanks for the tips. Maybe my last reply was marked as spam because it was long winded. lol.

Sorry for the late reply and hope you will enjoy your vacation! Not sure if Fortune and Glory is the best game to take on a road trip (or a plane)?! :-D 7th Continent really wasn't for me and I've never played Sword and Sorcery (but I keep hearing it's also very fiddly). Let me know what you ended up with ;-)

@@realjplay No worries. I am staying home mostly for vacation so size is not an issue. I still have time. It's not til next month but I want time to know the game so I can get right into it . I am waiting on A Touch of Evil 10th Anniversary Edition to come in from FFP. I will also be ordering Sword and Sorcery when it comes back in stock. I wanted something that was time consuming while I have the time to get into it.

You are not scoring de Guild cards the right way. The cards gives you points no matter if you are the player with the most cards or not. Example, for the BUILDERS GUILD, the one for the built marvels, the rules say : "At the end of the game, this card is worth 2 victory points for each Wonder constructed in the city which has the most wonders" , so basically you look at the two cities, choose the one the would grant Bilkis the most points and give the points to her regardless of who the city belongs to in the first place. Unless the new rules say otherwise but I don't remember reading anything about this in the french version.

Thanks, Alexandre. I might have played this incorrect for quite some time I guess... That's how it was explained to me (but of course I could have it read it myself). So you get the points basically ANYWAY whoever is doing best. Will leave a comment but luckily it doesn't change the result in the end :-D
@alexandrechartrand37514 жыл бұрын
@@realjplay Haha As you say, it does not change the end result. On a positive note, your video gave me the little push I needed to finally print the cards! Can't wait to try to avenge you against Bilkis! Thanks for the great content!

Thanks again! Really important as I was really playing this game incorrectly the whole time :-D
