Then, when the rain passed, we carried on to Snake Pass and stayed at the hostel. The next day, the snow came. By the time we got to the highest point of Snake Pass, the snow was thick. There were no cars, but there was a BBC news van filming the weather for the news. They made these three freezing-cold kids a cup of tea. It was an amazing trip.

Hi Joel, another great video, glad you enjoyed Derbyshire. The reason you are able to hike around areas such as the Peak District is because of the mass trespass on Kinder Scout in 1932. The public outcry at the rough treatment of some of the young people involved led to the principle of public access to such places. You might also take a look at the village of Eyam (pronounced Eem) in the Derbyshire Dales not far from Edale, which in 1665 isolated itself to try to contain the spread of bubonic plague. A huge number of the village’s population died as a result. The history of both these events is worth checking out.

We love that watching your videos means that you can come here and visit. You are so welcome here. Its brilliant to watch you catching the trains here and getting out into the countryside and enjoying the hikes and pubs. I'm glad the weather is holding out for you. Have a great time❤

Re the weather, Joel needs to keep reminding himself that Paris is on the same 49th parallel that separates the USA from Canada, which puts the Peak District somewhere in southern Labrador! That Gulf Stream works bloody hard to keep us warm ...

Oh boy! St here with tears in my eyes after seeing approx 3minutes of your video! You do them so well, your presentation superb, gentle voice yet with an interest within it, very professional with a hint of fun too. I so enjoy these and the tears are to appreciate what we have, what we take for granted but also what I have missed in my life ! You enjoy because there will come a day many years from now for you that you will only hav the memories to live on so keep piling them up and keeping your recordings! This country has so much to offer, you are just at the tip of an enormous iceberg, its is beautiful to see you enjoying it, oh and of course the food!

I’m English and this video has seriously made me homesick. It was the sheep baaing next to the stone walls, then off to the pub for lunch.

It's the real England, well away from all the political fighting, people whinging and carrying on. Once you're out immersed in it the daily grind and drama seems a world away. ❤

We were in Edale on Wednesday, a good friend myself and my dog, we went in to both of those pubs, sadly the weather wasn't as good as what you happened across, but the scenery was still stunning. Take a look at Eyam (plague village), it resonates now particularly, I'll let you find out why, and those people lived, so close to where you were, it gives you an idea of the people who live in the area and those around there, great video.

I have lived both abroad and in the UK and travelled widely. But there is no doubt that both England and France probably have the best 'countryside landscapes' in the world.

We would spend pretty much every weekend in the Peak District when I was a kid, it's stunningly beautiful wherever you go, and on the edge of several major cities, so easy to access by car, train, bus and bike. Heavenly views over the dales, with a view almost anywhere you look. Glad you enjoyed!

You should consider going to the Forest of Bowland, fantastic scenery within minutes of Manchester. You can even get your fill of Witches Not as touristy as the Peek district or Lake District

The best way to see the British Countryside is on foot. Combine that with a British Country pub, and it's a match made in heaven. Great video👍

One of the great things about the UK is that a short train ride or drive from most cities you can be in stunningly beautiful countryside. I have a choice of the Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales for the North Yorkshire National Park all within very easy reach. In my teens and early twenties a group of us Youth Hosteled our way around all of these, the Lake District and beyond. We are truly blessed to live in this 'green and pleasant land'. Great to see you so happy Joel :)

Fantastic. Wonderful to see you having the time of your life. The secret to a happy life is appreciating every breath of air you take and you have that gift and the ability to share it. Thought your eyes were going to pop out of your head when you tasted that Bakewell Pudding. ❤

This is what I always enjoy most when coming back to the UK after being away abroad on holiday, seeing the lush green patchwork of rolling hills as you fly back over the country, then driving through them on your way home. Visiting other countries is nice, but returning home always reminds you how beautiful the UK countryside really is.
