Patrick swayze is one of the few actors who were able to pull off being a dancer and being a tough guy and being both great at both parts
@StuUngar2 жыл бұрын
He’s the only actor I can think of….maybe Marlon Brando, who was equally loved by tough guys and romanticist women. My wifes Father (RIP) was a gaffer on the Youngblood shoot. My wife was about 16 years old at the time and Rob Lowe was idolized by most teenage girls at the time. She begged her Dad to meet him on set, and he did set it up. Rob ended up being a conceited jerk which was disappointing... come to think of it, it's probably why her Dad arranged the meeting ...lol! My wife also got to meet the lesser known Patrick Swayze that day and was very accommodating and friendly. Patrick spent the time to ask her about her life and was so considerate. That day she let go of her Rob Lowe crush and immediately became a Patrick Swayze fan.

Patrick Swayze was intensity personified in every role he ever played. 👍

On a different subject, Keanu actually has skills as a legit player. He really was a goalie I believe in the juniors before entering the world of acting. He didn't have many lines in Youngblood but his actions were definitely noticeable. All him, no stunt double.

Rob Lowe seems like an awesome guy. I’d love to sit at the table and listen to his stories. Swayze was awesome in Point Break and so was Keanu Reeves and Gary Busey and John McGinley. Awesome movie

Rob has great stories. I swear one of his best roles was in St Elmos Fire. Its short, but his lines and persona nail that.

Patrick still one of my fave guys out there! He was a true star, to me he was like the McCoughnahey of the 80s, kinda. He could dance, sing, fight, do comedies, romance and action movies, and be awesome in it. Love the guy! Wish he could live longer to be in more and greater movies. But he was a star in one of the best eras on pop culture. Sam Elliot and Keanu also being one of my faves, gotta love Roadhouse and Point Break. Patrick made such an amazing duo with both actors. Love the vibe of these movies, along with DD and Ghost. RIP ma guy, u a legend in my book!

That song that Rob didn't want, on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, became one of the highest selling albums of all time. Up there with Thriller and Back In Black. He wrote it and performed it... People also forget that he was hilarious. To Wong Foo was epic.

I think pretty much every movie he was in was great. He was a man's man who everyone emulated at one point or another. He was the John Wayne of the late 20th century. Like Robin Williams was to comedy he was to film. The world misses him.

Hi Joe, I knew Patrick an shared a few beers with Patrick. I met him when I was friends with his Arabian horse mentor Tom McNair who was a good friend of mine, the three of us sat an talked about Patrick making a real movie about the Arabian horse of the desert. I also am a helicopter pilot an eas going to do the flying of my helicopter to make the shots from the air, along with using some of my Arabian hordes in Swayze's movie. Patrick was a real down to earth guy an enjoyed regular people more than the movie guys. It was back when PTrick broke his leg on a escape on horse back on a movie set. Patrick loved dancing as did his Mom an would come up my way to NY to visit. Can't say enough about Patrick being a great an friendy man.
