Noooooo it should definitely be remade! Who cares if it’s not the “classic”? The more outsiders the better I always say! Who cares if it sucks because it’s not the original? It would still be fun to make and they’ll simply be another movie so people can watch two! I wanna live in a world with as much outsiders stuff as possible!

Although I hated taking the notes I really did enjoy the book and I was even more excited about watching the movie in class. Now thanks to my 8th grade ELA teacher I'm obsessed.

The casting is amazing! Hearing all the famous names that didn’t make the cut is legendary. I’m reading this with my class, as I do every year and they love it! I show clips from the movie as we go along bc it’s THE best book to movie ever. I still have students 20 years later finding me in Facebook and such telling me to Stay Gold and I’m honored to get to read this 7 times a day for over 20 years. It’s timeless and when kids tell me they hate to read, this is my go to book and the kids start reading and I know I created lifelong readers over the years, all thanks to SE Hinton.

Tom Cruise had a small part that had nothing to do with the success of this movie. The story centered around PonyBoy, Johnny and Dallas. The secondary characters were Cherry Valance and Daryl who was played by a very underrated actor named Patrick Swayze. All the other famous actors had minor roles.

Embarking on an audition, especially for something as iconic as "The Outsiders," is such a thrilling journey! It's a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talents and step into the shoes of some truly memorable characters. Remember, every audition is a chance to learn and grow, no matter the outcome. Keep shining bright and bringing those unique qualities only you can bring to the role. Break a leg!

If anyone is more interested in this, read Rob Lowe's autobiography where he talks about making The Outsiders. Really inspiring and amazing reading how they really became like a family by the end of the movie
