@@RandyNachoManSandwich Cocaine's a true hoe. We should be more informed before trying shxt, but cocaine is pretty self-explanatory. It's not a rich man drug just because of its price, but because of the relation between quality - high - price. You pay what? 15$ for ~30min of feeling good? That drug's purely designed to create addiction and fill the wallets of fuckers who don't dare to even step in the places where it's produced.

He's looked healthier on some of his early stern years for sure. He was jogging on the tredmill fast, and he was playing basketball one on one vs a pro female player, and pretty much would have beat her if they counted the 3 point shots as 3's. Artie is actually a great athlete, which many people would have ever guessed. He looked much much healthier here, as opposed to how he looked previously though. That mugshot when he got arrested was brutal, it looked like he was going to die that day, that's how bad he looked, so this is an incredible transformation. I hope he's still clean these days, but there's very little public information about him anymore.

6:42 - yeah, that cloudy, drowsy type dumb feeling goes away once you built even a small tolerance. Its the old mountain and valley analogy; when you start, you are at base level, no ups or downs. You take opiates, you go up right away, for a while. After tolerance builds, it sinks you into the valley, where you need a certain amount of the opiate just to get up to base level, but base level is not that great to someone with tolerance, because you wanna climb up high on the mountain, not sit down at boring old base level. So you rise up from the shitty withdrawl valley, up to base level where you are fine, then you climb on up the mountain, and repeat this every fucking day until you either OD, decide its time to stop, or blow your head off. This is a very vague concept to anyone who has not taken opiates, so this important message doesn't resonate as much as it should, then before you know it, they are popping a pill a friend gave them, and another one bites the dust.
@alexmeyer81334 жыл бұрын

The worst thing for me is that I’m not an addict, but I require them for pain relief for metastatic cancer. It’s in so many bones-most of my spine, my pelvis, hips, femurs, ribs, and humeruses...I hate needing them for it, but they don’t really take the pain away, just make it tolerable. And I have allergic reactions to it every other day or so, so I can’t win on this 🤨
@resnview3 жыл бұрын
Being addicted to opiates is the worst thing that can happen to someone’s life. You become a slave to the drug. You loose sense of life. People that love you, you disconnect from them. When you have the drug and know you won’t be sick you act normal. You can hide it and no one will know you use. But being alone with a problem like that isn’t healthy. I’m going on 9-10!years on opiates. I never thought I would fall to this. I can’t stop. I seek help but can stop. Anyone reading this don’t ever get hooked on opiates. I will destroy your life. It will turn you into the person you hate the most. You won’t recognize yourself. I have a job a wife, a loving family. I’m not rich but not poor. But living with this disease and not letting anyone know, is a slow death. Sad life. If you were to see me you would never think I’m a user. I hide it so well. But I’m so lonely. I really wish I could wake up one day and not be a slave to this lifestyle.

He was a coke addict for years (got clean, fell off the wagon, got clean, fell of the wagon - over and over). He finally got clean and really seemed to turn his life around for good - even did an "addict ministry" at the local jails. But, sadly the damage to his body was already done from years of addiction and he passed away at 39 while he was completely clean (heart issue). That's something I think addicts don't consider. Even if you get clean sometimes the damage you've done over the years still gets you. Just steer clear of that stuff!!!

He was using daily since he was a teen, and very very high amounts once he got rich, and did that until his 50's. It's very very hard to just stop all medications, and all use at that point, and stay that way indefinitely. He did amazing though regardless, and looks great in this interview, so I hope he is off everything. Not saying there's anything wrong with suboxone or methadone, especially if they're not affecting your life negatively at all, so it's still pretty much clean, but you're still on something though. Suboxone and methadone are incredibly powerful opiates, which is necessary if you'r trying to come off things like heroin and fentanyl.

@pumaqueen62 жыл бұрын
If you go to meetings than you're talking about that every day
@nichole86092 жыл бұрын
@@pumaqueen6 Actually, we don't get into details. The reason we don't is to not cause someone to be triggered. We all have different things that can cause us to use again. This could be a specific detail, smells, sounds, places or stress. Not everyone has the same triggers. Someone going into a detailed drug story can cause someone else to have what is called "phantom tastes" and/or "phantom smells" which is when someone can hear, see or smell something that causes their brain to remember what a substance tasted like or to remember what they physically felt after using. Those phantom tastes and smells decrease over time with some people. It takes a hell of a lot of strength to get up everyday and go about life and facing people, places and things that will trigger them, us. But that's what has to happen to overcome addiction. Hope this explains some things🙂

I know someone that was working the ER in St. Louis when Artie came in for the “glass snorting”. Nobody in the ER knew who he was but word spread fast about “the guy who snorted crushed glass” rather quickly. She told me about it saying “he’s a comedian or something?” I instantly knew who it was with hearing his name because radio stations had been announcing his show cancellation.

i was in the hospital twice where i could have serious pain dope pretty much when I wanted it. It was a real nice feeling for sure. I was addicted to oxy for a time, at the end I was taking 3 40mg oxy’s (snorted) as a regular dose, which I needed at least twice a day to maintain, 3 doses a day were more norm so if I couldn’t get oxy and perc’s were all that was available I would have to take 24 to equal the same dose, each one contained 350mg acetaminophen and 5mg oxy, 48-72 tabs would have been the daily dose. The body builds tolerance to these drugs leading to nothing good, oxy was only supposed to be given to terminal patients and those in severe pain, not handed out like aspirin.
