I got into the show listening to Louis CK lizard bit, and the more I listened the more I realized just how great that cellar crowd is, and Colin Quinn is literally the funniest fucking person ever. Patrice was just brilliantly honest about human interactions, and Bob Kelly was the perfect heavybag. It makes me angry listening to old shows and having to hear Opie ruin some genuinely funny moments with his narcissism.

But when you take them separately, Cumia (who was the funniest guy in that group many times) is angry and boring alone. I don't know how old your car is, but I've never intentionally ordered satellite radio, but even on my base model cars since the early 2000s, they have Sirius/XM built into the radio. I'd never pay for a subscription, but if I was a high paid guy on the road all the time, it might be worth it. I'd dicker with them for a lower rate, though. I had XM once. Then other times because it came with a car. Each time it ran out, I dickered with S/XM and they offered something much better than $16 a month.

I was just listening to a "Worst of" where Richard Jeni called in after being hung up on, made to wait in the lobby for 3 hrs and then went on Howard. They played some cuts from Jeni's CD and Opie kept digging in saying it sucked and wasn't funny. Jimmy stayed quiet, Anthony actually said "that wasn't bad" to a couple of the bits (they were ok, but Jeni's not my cup of piswasser). To his credit, Jeni defended himself really well, called Opie out but ol' Greggshells just went psychotic about the Howard appearance. Ant and Jim stayed out of it, they knew it was wrong. All the times Lydia called in to analyze Anthony, she should have focussed on Opie's delusional paranoia.
