Right now FSD 12.5 and subsequent versions will NOT work on HW3 cars. Some of those HW3 cars are only 6 months old. I'm not holding my breath waiting for that retrofit.

@MarkoMarkovina3 ай бұрын
I don't think there will ever be a performance update for new version. 5k for 0,5 sec better acceleration just doesn't justify it for me and that's probably only at start cause AWD can deliver more power and better grip. I highly doubt there's much difference in mid range... If you live in area that has lot's of snow than AWD is better choice
@captainlockes23442 ай бұрын
@deej628 I went to test out the audio system on both cars and immediately switched to the AWD version. The audio on RWD somehow sounds worst than my 2012 Civic’s. It’s quite front heavy and harsh sounding.

The only problem my wife has with her new model 3 is the door fastener in the middle of the door. Her foot hits it all the time!! Causes her a lot of pain. Tesla needs a better design on this feature which fastens in the door tighter to keep outside noise out. Most often this occurs when parking in the garage and not having a lot of space to open the door. Then her foot hits that bottom door fastener. Can the fastener be removed??
@MarkoMarkovina3 ай бұрын
This is absolutely accurate for US market but not for European market... In Croatia we had tax credit on standard range an long range! Sadly there's no long range RWD. So RWD was 33000 euro with that credit and it's by far the best choice. Long range was 40000 and better 0-60 is just not enough to justify that... Mid range acceleration is actually great in SR. I don't care about sound system in LR because it more than good enough in SR...

@yazendaddi917 I initially place an order for Model 3 standard but with the promo I canceled lease. I financed a Model 3 rwd Long Range and it was only $40 more than the lease. The low APR helps and also my state gives additional $3k tax credit. It was a better deal to buy/finance. Lease down payment was minimum $1,500 and $0 for finance. I also didn't like the fees you will have to pay at the end of the lease. I researched and the typical fees at the end were $500 - $1,500 due to some small dents, scratches, window tint removal, and normal wear and tear.

As far as the rear wheel model 3 base model, I leased one a couple of months ago with the $299 advertised lease. The lease price was over $100/month lower than the long range. And seems to be currently about $130 less. That's $4700 over the 36 mo. lease. The reasons to buy the higher level cars are range, warranty, and speed. If you lease, a longer warranty is irrelevant. Range is a non issue for me. Switching from an ICE, the base model is as fast as I want to go. I would have paid for the better radio. In the base model's favor is the new battery. It's lighter than the older battery, which I presume would affect handling. I plug it into a 110 volt socket every night and charge to 100%. Anyway, it is a great car and meets my needs and I love the payment and look forward to what is available in 2027.

It’s just like a Benz or BMW unless you are rich, you would be financially illiterate to take the amount of value depreciation those cars will lose in the first 4 to 5 years. Any person that is financially smart will never buy a car that depreciates so quickly, just look at Warren Buffett and his old 2001 Toyota Camry he still drives.
