I think what makes Jones so capable is his constant fear of the opponents he has faced. He has stated multiple times that he was scared of some guys and would literally fear their skill sets. What sets him apart is that his coming up with game plans to defeat them swiftly to ensure he doesn't lose or get hit by them. That's some crazy stuff right there.

@hanzflackshnack1158
@hanzflackshnack1158 Жыл бұрын
@@goonerboy93 Technically he was scared every single time according to him. Tyson progressed quickly so he was never in the ring with someone that wasn’t capable of hurting him and his career. He said that Pinklon Thomas is the toughest guy he ever fought. He has also given several fighters the credit they deserve saying it was a misconception that he was the hardest hitter when several people hit harder than him. His timing and accuracy were better. It’s a little messed up that boxing only rewards the champion and losing ends their career because everyone Tyson fought professionally were incredibly gifted and dedicated fighters

I think what keeps Jon at his most top level is that he is simultaneously in two mindsets of being one of the greatest fighters of all time and keeping the initial fear of thinking someone can beat you. He admitted he was afraid of Rampage (who wouldn't be) but he used it to train harder and harder and he ended up beating him. I think it's a weird mixture of self-belief in his own abilities whilst using fear to hone them. Without a doubt one of the greatest and I can only look forward to the next big fighter like him.
@huskaroar6869
@huskaroar6869 Жыл бұрын
He used his best technique ever. Constantly trying to poke Rampage's eyes. Worst part is, he could beat them all but being the a hole that he is, he had to resort to the worst possible way he could win. He himself had admitted that he's a bad guy trying to be a good guy. And when tested he almost lost everytime. Reyes and Silva had him guessing his moves. Nigga has the best fight instinct ever but he starts doubting himself when he can't figure out a way. Such a shame.... He could have been the greatest without a shadow of a doubt. But he is his own worst enemy

Not how good you can fight. Real fights don’t have rules And fyi there’s a dude in Jon’s gym that can beat him. That guy is just not famous. I bet he has a terrible record too. My guy If there was someone that had half of Jons talent we would’ve heard of him by now, professionally or not. But we haven’t, and that’s Including Jon’s 3 year layoff and yet there’s still nobody. You’re telling me It took them 3 years to capture Jon’s talent, when Jon blew up on the scenes after only 9 months of training at 20!? 💀

Yes you are correct I've been seeing his matches his biggest attributes are his Long Reach and his great balance and the coke helps a lot too it gives him that incredible aggressiveness along with the steroids they're basically give him a huge advantage because of the increased adrenaline.

As much as I agree that Jones is at the very top there is always a bigger dog he is by no means safe with guys like Pavlovich, Blaydes and Francis or Stipe anyone can get slept especially at heavyweight.

Absolutely. Plus people are just acting like the Reyes fight never happened. Dude knew he lost, and he ditched out for 3 years. Anyone who's not a kid and has been watching awhile will remember Silva MURDERING everyone for the better part of a decade, everyone saying he was the GOAT, until he starts losing. You think Jones was dominate? Nah, not like prime Silva. Same shit is going to happen to Jones and ppl gonna jump ship.

@@borklaser7291 Lol Chael is so delusional the guy is a walking meme and idk why you're bringing up the end of Silva's career. Ya probably are too young to remember 06-12 UFC or you're a new fan. If we're comparing end of careers, in the last 4 years Jones has BARELY beat Santos and some would say should have lost, DEFINITELY lose to Reyes, and beat Ciryl though we didn't get to see much of a performance so it's hard to say how decent he'll be at HW going forward. Plenty of fighters come into UFC, KO everyone early in 1st, then run into a brick wall once they get a guy who doesn't go down immediately.

@@ghoulbby blah blah blah blah. I’d rather trust the professional mma fighter that actually fought 3 times against both guys than a random imbecile on the internet . My Dude , jones has all the records . Best LHW resume of all time by far , most submissions in LHW , youngest ufc champ ever at23 ,15 title fights and WINS . Only thing Silva has over him was the 16 fight win streak , that was snapped when he faced someone actually good ( weidmann) who owned him twice .jones without the Hamill bs “loss “ is riding like a 19 fight win streak . Romero would have fucked up Silva too . GSP would have beaten him easily as well if he moved up . Don’t even compare the 2. Jones has been owning 3 generations of fighters and crushed the best available heavyweight after a 3 year hiatus . All Jones haters can bring up is a few fights he went there all coked and boozed up , not training for the fight or taking them seriously and still won decisions and ruined both santos and reyes careers .

@@Mr-O- Yeah, It was "his day" then going forward he didn't win his next 4 fights. And now he's on the verge of being cut. And btw Jons "day" hasn't even come my guy, since he's literally still to this day the #1 P4P champ In the entire UFC, but hey whatever makes you feel better my guy I guess. Truth Is the truth, and at the end of the day Jon Is still dominating and will still dominate as the new Heavyweight and Reyes got folded like a lawn chair In his most recent fights and ever since he's had the mentality of defeated contender, and that's mentality that proves he'll never reach his true potential, and It's why legends like Jon are legends. There's level to this IRL and most Importantly In ultra-competitive sports like NBA, NFL, Boxing, MMA, and fighters like Garbrant and Reyes won't make It there because of that lack of mental toughiness.

Then got carried away and stop training for the new breed of light heavyweights got his ass handed to him a couple of times, later on he beats cormier with unknown substance in his blood.😂😂 Just so you know he was the youngest champ didn't have any time to celebrate or enjoy life because he was too focused on destroying the whole former light heavy weight champ roster.
