This is amazing, I just bought a 2002 S8 project myself (for twice as much, still a great deal, the lower bumper grilles are worth a few hundred bucks alone) and now there's this on the channel! The pearl white is a rare color in Europe, too and it generally seems to be in good condition. The engines are usually not a problem btw, it's the 5-speed tiptronic that blows up sooner or later, and you won't know what condition that is in until youve read the codes or gone on a longer drive. Obviously that's where the risk it, it would total the car unless you want to invest the 3 grand or so for a rebuilt one, which might be worth it with this one. Also pls no straight pipes...

Nah. I think the owner hit some kerb or some sort of divider on the road. That messed up the bumper and broke maybe a couple of radiator pipes.

That's usually the first thing you do when you buy a car.... change that thing because you never know if the previous owner did it or not .... My Audi A4 2.8 V6 I thought it went at 70,000 miles and got the timing belt change.... And then I changed it again when it had a hundred and seventy thousand miles...

I just lost my beautiful 1999 S8 to a National recall on the Takata airbag. Audi bought the car back from me. I hope that the rad is your only issue, I spent a small fortune keeping mine on the road. AC Cooling on the right only means low R134a, it has 2 evaporators and runs out of liquid on the right leaving none for the left. Also the TransGo valve mod will keep the trans from blowing itself up. Great cars, I have a 2001 and 2003.

The AC will function with use. It's because it's been standing for a long time without use. So soon it will blow cold also in the other went. You also need to have filled the radiator. So it will soon be working as it should just turn the vent off until it is in OK. Use toothpaste to polish the faded front lights, they will be like new. You may even be able to weld the radiator. The car is all aluminum, built on Audi Space Frame. So it will not rust. Such great cars. I have driven them for 20 years. They are extremely solid low maintenance cars. Even the gearbox is amazing. My first car drove 385.000 kilometers (240.000 miles) before I sold it off, still on the road. Fantastic quick and agile cars!!! Probably the best and most solid cars ever built, in my opinion, since it hasn't got all the electronic of the newer cars. I really wish to get one again.

If the other AC vent still doesn't work it's a common problem on Hondas ar least that the blend door actuator gets stuck. What we did to fix it was put the AC on full cold then full hot then full cold again quickly and it worked for us.

Congrats on the buy! Here in Germany all cheap s8 are messed up by young drivers that did not care about servicing the car and just wanted to flex. Often this results in an engine failure.

the 4.2L engines were preaty solid drivers. I live in canada and found a radiator for my a8 for less then 200$ put some ngk plugs in the engine tho platinums will be much better. check the wreckers you may find something good.
