Steve is one the greatest death metal musicians, drummer clearly but all around, the writing, the continual fresh albums over the years. Deicide are one of the very best. Dig your show!

Possessed, Death, Sodom, and Dark Angel (to name a few) definitely left somewhat of a blueprint for Death Metal I'd dare say.

I just came across this interview today. This is a really great interview! A lot of interviewers have asked Steve and Glen the same old lame questions over and over again, for years if not decades. This interview on the other hand contained fresh quality questions and brought out a lot of great conversation points. I agree with you that Steve is the very best drummer around. He also is one of the nicest/coolest guys around.

Such a great dude. Saw them in New York fairly recently for their Legion anniversary tour. Steve came out to chat with us since we had showed up a couple hours early haha. Took some pics with us even. They absolutely kill it these days. The hunger is so damn strong and we can hear it in the lives. Being from Philly, I was able to see em' at the Metal and Beer Fest recently and they killed it once more. Legends.
