Yeah the turned a nice reference in the original version to a full blown copy in this one: - in the original, AFTER she punched the guy to the moon screaming planet Crusher the turns to screen and say in the same tone as kenshiro uses -I've already.... won... (Atashi mō... katsu da…) I was a nice reference for anyone who knew hokuto no ken, now ther forcing even those who don't to get the reference and that cheapens the experience. Granted this is just a small complain in the face far more serious ones (cof cof DLC practices).

The one thing I was hoping for in this game and they delivered. Also I love Ian's delivery on Gordeau's Infinate Worth Astral. He does my favorite UNIB character so well. The one thing I kinda find disappointing is the fact that the RWBY characters don't have their symbols come on or anything during their Astrals.

its a nod to the last episode of RWBY Volume 1 season-ender. It's not supposed to be flashy cause Ruby has never been a flashy character like the rest of the cast she doesn't summon ice monsters, change her hair and go berserk, make clones of herself, have the ability to resurrect or have any maiden powers. Ruby's power is that she's just fast (literally her power is she moves fast and leaves rose behind her) so it makes sense that her Astral Finish isn't the best-looking one next to heavy hitters like Hazama and Es.

LunarRose Crow I'm not asking for a 180 spirit summoning noscope. Just make her current astral better. The reason that attack worked is because of a good camera, a lot of anticipation and her body actually reacting to outside forces. This doesn't work because it has none of that. And besides, your argument is not working either because of all the RWBY cast, besides the grown-ups, she's been flashy af. Remember her trailer? End of season 3? Entirety of season 4? (although that one had about as much action as a weeb with an amputated prostate)

She doesn't have a transforming gunblade scythe that she can make into a sword, Weiss can summon literal astral crystal projections to fight for her, Yang literally goes super saiyan, Nora can get hit by lightning and go Broly on people, Pyhrra can control metal like look at them compared to Ruby. What does Ruby do? She has a scythe sniper rifle ok, her semblance is that she can move quickly but it has a weakness it literally tells the enemy where she is cause she leaves roses behind her well that's meh what else, she has... Silver Eyes that kill Grimm like creatures... And that's it

Azreal's Astral Heat is just as badass as ever. Makoto's lines feel a little jumbed, like when she said crusher without planet, hopefully it will be fixed in the final version or a patch. Es' voice actress sounds good in dialogue and in battle, but she should put a little more vocal tone into her Astral quotes.

I just love how each side of the crossover retains its respective visual feature on astral heats. BlazBlue has different artstyles and usage of 3D graphics, Persona 4 Arena has character portraits and 3D animations of Personas(usually the climax of their Astral Heat here), Under Night In-Birth has drawn-in character animations when an Astral Heat is initiated, And RWBY....well, they are new to the fighting genre, so they are more similar to BlazBlue's, but with a fractured moon in the background(obvious reference to the series)

Maybe it'll be changed for the full release, and maybe it's nitpicky, but it kind of bothers me that there isn't any unified aesthetic for the super flashes. It's a little jarring for a BB character to only flash their emblem but a UNIB character to get a full, animated portrait cut-in. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a crossover game. Oh well. 1. Ruby had a plan but they don't tell us what her plan was the plan happened off screen 2. Ren was knocked out and Jaune just pointed out the Deathstalkers weakness by luck 3. Team RWBY fights each of their opponents 1 on 1 in the tournament instead of using actual teamwork 4. Blake told Sun to get out of her way he's mine and tried to take Torchwick on by her self and Penny stepped in the moment Ruby got shot. 5. That fight is the only time Team Ruby used teamwork and yet they don't explain how they learned all of those attack patterns. If I were to grade this I'd give it a 1 out of 5

1. If they showed us RWBY having a group meeting, it'll just waste the viewer's time, ruin the "whoa, that's was damn clever" factor and ruin the pace of the fight. 2. Jaune didn't point it out by luck, he's a natural tactician. The fact that he managed to devise a quick and efficient plan that immediately finishes off the enemy right after noticing its weakness says a lot about him. And Ren's fine plus they've got no time to get him up, they'll ruin both the pacing and break the fight's momentum. 3. Does saying, "he's mine!" also mean "get out of my way, Sun!" ? She was just plain mad. Right before that episode they talked about how they'll handle things up. And besides they're never really teammates in the first place. Plus Blake is a more alone-type of fighter. Yet how they managed to flow their attacks together instead of ending up in a losing mess speaks teamwork. 5. Once again we get a whoa factor since the team attacks came out like a surprise. It wouldn't be so cool if we were shown scenes of them practicing. Planning scenes are completely unnecessary. They could just show the team executing the plan immediately. I want to add more: - RNJR vs Geist: Here we get to see Jaune the tactician actually plan things out like you wanted. When Ruby is getting exhausted, Renora tries to distract the geist. When Jaune was cornered by the burning tree limb, Ren threw out his gun to save him. In the end Ren and Ruby distract the geist long enough for Nora to unleash her hammer on the grimm's head. - Emerald and Mercury vs Coco and Yatsuhachi: Merc lures Coco close to the forest for Em to catch her with her chains while Merc effortlessly kicks Yatsuhachi's ass. - CEM vs Amber - JNPR vs BRNZ - Blacksun vs sea grimm And here you can't find teamwork in a show where academies train hunstmen in teams. What is wrong with you?

Also, the RWBY astrals aren’t all that. I just want to put that out there imo. Yes, they look cool, but they feel weak compared to other astrals. Especially Ruby’s.
