I'm sure you got that FF7 part 3 thing wrong. It's not about it being multiplatform at launch, it's about it not being *next gen only* at launch, meaning PS5 owners won't need to buy PS6 as the only way to play. Yeah, Square's been saying stuff about them wanting to ditch exclusivity, but sadly in case of FF7 project the exclusivity deal with Sony has been signed years ago and it probably applies to all three games. But I'll be glad to be wrong

No, he's correct. They're basically anticipating that the third part of FF7 Remake will come out when the PS6 does, but they're promising that it won't be an exclusive to that platform. In other words, the exclusivity is over. There was a confirmation of this in another interview somewhere. But Square have committed to a multi platform strategy since the big structural change, and Kitase hinted that the game would come out on multiple platforms, not just PS.

That's not how I read it. I looked at a few interviews as Kitase is a bit ambiguous with this stuff, but considering Squares plan for growth is centred around multi platform releases, and based on his suggestions that it'll come to other platforms other than PS, I think we're in the clear.

​​​In the interview, they state that they are aware that people are worried part 3 will be a PS6 exclusive similar to how Rebirth became exclusive to only PS5, alienating PS4 owners. They are only confirming that this will not be the case and will be released on PS5 regardless of the release of the PS6. While Square has said they will be commiting to making their games multiplatform on launch from now on, this is for future projects, and not guaranteed for existing projects. There is a high chance that the Remake trilogy has an exclusivity deal signed from the very beginning for all three games, so there is no telling whether we will get multiplatform at launch. But they have expressed that they definitely want to get it on other platforms as soon as they possibly can.

Having played through Fantasian, I just hope the story for this new game is at least on par with Sakaguchi's best work. Cause lemme tell you, Fantasian is really underwhelming in the story department IMO

So happy to see Farland Saga coming back! This series is a classic and one of the best tactical JRPG series I played back when it came out. I am secretly hoping this gets a remake someday so that more people will be able to play it. Such a goated series.

@TheKisekiNut right, and let's be honest, it's all former Ubisoft employees, and they don't exactly have a good track record right now. The voice cast is awesome, though, and the battle system looks pretty cool, but I honestly think some of the character designs could be a lot better.

Correction at 3:58 - The news means it won't be exclusive to just the next generation PS, that is PS6. Whether or not it will be day-1 on PC or delayed remains to be seen, but I remember that Sony signed the exclusivity deal for the series when the series was only a duology. We'll likely see the next FF7 game between 2027-28, which would be a cross-gen period.

Would love Xillia 1 and 2 remastered and Skies of Arcadia. I was hoping to see shadow hearts 1,2 and 3 on PSN too after it was rumoured a couple years back but I guess not. At least the team is working on Penny Blood. Expedition 33 is looking great still, lots to be excited about this year.

Quick question. Ive noticed in some of your videos when talking about the calvard ark that you pronouce Agnes' name as (AGniss) rather than the english pronunciation of the characters name (Onyes). Is that how the name is pronounced in the japanese version?

It's because my grandmother's name was Agnes, and that's how we pronounced it when she was alive. She was Irish, so I've always stuck to that pronunciation.

I didn't see the new Trails figures! I'll be checking those out for sure. My Adol 1/7 figure was just confirmed to be in its way to me, I'm pumped. I have the Altima Nendoroid, the 1/8 scale figure, and my 1/7 Rabbit Suit on a boat somewhere, taking its sweet time. Oh, and I have the Pop Up Parade release on pre-order, so this new one would be five! (I have every other Trails scale figure-I don't have a fixation on Altina lol) I think they should make an Anton scale figure-like, an obnoxiously large one, 1/4 or 1/2 even 😂 Edit: I did not realize double-hyphens are the shortcut to strike through text LOL I just started using them more because I liked the way they clearly notate a break or change in thought. I guess this is why I can't have nice things 😭 lol

@ I was not even aware that there was any kind of showing of anything happening! I have been wanting to know out how to get on some kind of notification list for new items like that. I just check the Falcon JP site about twice per week, NISA about once per week... oh, and I just realized, with NISA not publishing Sky FC Remake, my hope of getting the beautiful art at the end of the reveal trailer on one of the acrylic prints NISA makes is probably a lost cause. Gung-Ho doesn't even appear to have a merch store. I did get the wall scroll of the same art Falcon made w/ only Estelle & Joshua, I guess that will have to suffice. My NISA acrylic CS IV wedding art is my favorite piece of wall art I've ever had in my life!

I really dont think, I will play Clair Obscure. The QTE-stuff in the attacks reminds me far too much of Sea Of Stars. Played that, HATED with a burning passion the QTE-stuff from the start, so I'll just watch a lets play if the story is engaging. Will keep an eye of Starlight Legacy and Leyline Chronicles, artstyle of both games are suiting my taste, so lets see if those game are capable of bringing me some fun and joy. :3

Btw, I am a PC gamer, so I hate console exclusivity and I was super happy when Square said they would go multiplatform, but I do think there are contracts that were signed before they went multiplatform

I personally hope it does come to other platforms at launch as exclusivity doesn't help it at all, but I think Kitases words suggest that might be the case for part 3. We've still got a few years to confirm though.

My thoughts: 1) Wish they would re-release the physical limited edition *Blade card deck.* (I LOVE that game and even printed my own using in-game screenshots, but is sadly blurry) 2) Daybreak 2 demo being "PlayStation-exclusive" is LAME and a SPIT in the face to PC/Steam players who own/have played ALL Trails games to date. 3) If Sega is cooking something with Skies of Arcadia, it BETTER be a *full on remake with modern visuals.* (NOT a lazy port of the old version of Skies of Arcadia). 4) I finished *Tales of Graces Remastered* with my brother yesterday, he gave it a *5/10* and I gave it a *0/10* (complete letdown story and combat system-wise IMO). 5) I watched the short anime of *Tales of the Abyss,* heavily DISLIKED it and gave it a *5/10,* so I'm SKIPPING the Abyss remastered game and will wait for *Xillia 1 & 2 Remaster.*
