"Xenoblade Chronicles X" deserves a remaster, but iirc there are some issues regarding the game-engine they used, so a port/remaster it's not something that can be done easily. Such a bummer... That cliffhanger calls for a closure!!!!

God i hope we get XC3 soon, im a new switch player and everybody recommended BOTW to me saying its the best switch game but ended up not liking it too much, then when i wanted to play XC2 people kept telling me its not good and its just a niche game but then i absolutely freakin loved it i think its the best game on switch that i played so far, just goes to show that people's opinions are irrelevant if you wanna try something then do it

Passing on the demo anything tales I gotta go in raw. Hmm, few folks in my jrpg groups feel there's too much changes for Arise. Honestly I'm all for it even Dragon Quest is having some changes. DQ VIII was my first too. Used to do my homework in school just to get more hours on it.

Same. For some reason I just don't like playing demos for JRPGs. I like going in without knowing much of anything. Hell, I haven't watched a single trailer for the new Tales game.

It's anecdotal, but I know a lot of people who got burned by Zestiria which made them not interested/reluctant to try Berseria. Berseria was fun but it felt held back by being a Zestiria prequel. Arise looks like it has a lot of potential between the graphics and engine upgrade, as well as the completely new setting. I really hope Arise sticks the landing and it would be so cool if it became a hit with Westerners because past Tales games have been rather niche.

I haven't played it myself, but I've heard Torna improved on the original Xenoblade 2 quite a bit. Better resolution, better framerate, less pop in, etc.

Honestly I like the gacha system in the previous games, it's not intended for you to try and pick the "best" character and keep re-rolling for that. It's intended for you to have a different experience, and honestly it adds a lot of replay value if you use it for what it is and not how you can break it.

I know this might be off topic, but I seen statement online that someone from the dev team said that XC3 would be larger and have more things and characters onscreen than ever before. I mean, that would be great, but I can’t help but feel that, putting that type of game solely on the switch, would be doing it a disservice, especially the current model. And the only reason I say is because, if the above statement is true, I feel the game will just run like crap, with sub 30fps drops, handheld mode would be trash, resolution will be low, I would love to see the next entry make it to PC. Could you imagine what they could do with a PC release of XC3. It would be amazing, I think the audience is there, jrpgs sell well on PC, I just think it could do so much more on there.

I think Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was being worked on for the wii u, but got canceled and ported to the switch, so they couldn't utilize the switch full potential. Now they can, so Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and the Next Zelda game will have huge improvements from their previous games.

Agreed entirely, would just have been nice if the core crystals would have been rarer and then had common blades just not be a thing at all. I would rather every single pull be special, but have fewer pulls. That way you would still ultimately get all of them, but in an unpredictable order that would make everyone's playthroughs feel different and interesting. Plus you would also no longer have the painful grind to fill in the last few blades.

I personally hate the requirement blade skills mechanic because it's ruin the progression to a completely stop. It's also forces you to unlock more blade just to open a stupid door. Yeah, no more blade in the game just put a group of protagonists like the first game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 would have to do *a lot* to convince me to buy the game this time. Jumping from XC 1 to 2 didn't seem a major jump. Hopefully XC 3 (if rumor are true) is evolutionary step forward much like how Persona 5 was a great departure from the previous Persona games. And please let me ride mechs and travel from one land to another while fighting bot enemies or other mechs. Add tons of new content and gameplay mechanics because if they don't much to evolve the series then I'II drop the series.

really wish Square would remaster or do a 1:1 remake of Dragon Warrior VII [in the West] and Quest VIII. Just a few nights ago I actually tried playing DQVIII again but those controls killed it. I could've overlook the graphics as they weren't terrible and the game was in wide screen on PS3 but those controls made me put the controller down in no time. The standard has risen over the years and it would be nice to see these games not only re-introduced but made to feel and play like more modern games. I can't wait for Xeno 3. I never got into the gotcha part of Xeno 2 but I definitely agree that it needs to go. When you're already putting 100-200+ hours into a game you shouldn't also be forced into gotcha mechanics. idk what it would look like but there are definitely better methods to acquire blades that aren't so, gimmicky/gotcha-ee. Tales of Arise can't come soon enough. Finished Monster Hunter Stories 2 a lot quicker than I expected so now I'm trying to fill the void & don't want to be in the middle of something once it drops. Even though I probably wont even have a copy until 9-13 or later knowing Amazon.

I got kosmos by playing the game normally looking for new blades for elemental powers. Also I find it funny that outside of dagas, I only really used non Garcha blades.

I got KOS MOS early in Chapter 3 without grinding crystals at all. The saddest part was I didn't even use her. I didn't yet have a grip on the combat system and affinity charts, so I used her a for a bit then put her off to the side for the rest of the game. lol

To each their own, I can definitely see the flaws with the gacha system but in all honesty I liked this system A LOT. I mean, its not like you are Genshin Impact levels of pull rate on core crystals.

the gacha system wasnt that bad, there was this thing where if you want a blade all you have to do is to collect all the blades from that element, so the chances to get it just keep going up... actually you have to collect from 2 elements based on the boosters, it was just about to take it easy...

So it doesn't matter if you're rushing through the game or taking your time because your progression is still going to be stop by stupid requirements which ruin alot of people experience. Screw, blades I hope they disappear in the next game.

Xenoblade X was such an awful game in my opinion, so glad they aren't making a sequel. Not a fan of Western style RPGs with weak main stories and silent protagonists
