The dealer told me I should disconnect the battery before started the pad replacement, otherwise the brakes will lock up. Have you ever heard of this?

This happened to me! I had to buy an obd reader to reset the codes. Definitely put it in brake service mode and then pull the negative terminal off the battery.

I had the brakes lock up after putting in service mode while doing the rear, no codes thrown. Just disconnected the battery and they released...the pins on the fronts fought me the whole way even with a punch. I wound up using a wire wheel on the third one I pulled and used that as the "punch" on the 4th one and that made it so much easier.

What about the light you get in the dashboard after you get done with the brakes you didn't say anything about that you have to get it reprogram or the brake system is not going to work right.

@@BenjaminPerez-rv6db I believe that code is thrown when you don’t evenly push in the caliper. If you use a tool like his it should prevent the error.
