I have an alcohol addiction but I don’t have kids. This is truly a beautiful song and I hope its touches many people’s hearts as it did mine.

How were you able to speak my exact thoughts while I was scrolling 😢; we're goin through it but it's our own battle against ourselves, our most hated opponent is ourselves. We feel guilt while knowing we're the villain in our own story and claiming we have it under control; the only comfort being your not the only one

@ryleepatterson1762 that's the dark truth. I'm officially trying to get sober today. Didn't sleep for shit last night. Best of luck to you on your journey.

My best friend growing up lost his mom to an OD. She was a huge part of my life as well. I haven't talked to him in nearly 12 years and I always hope he's had time to heal.

My brother died in 2021 from effects of long term opiate and fentanyl use. He died very slowly as his whole body shut down. He kept saying, “I’ll call my daughter when I am better.” He did not want her to see him that way. This song literally brings me back to when I laid in his bed with my head on his chest listening to his heart slowly come to a stop. Where his 10 yo daughters hand laid the day before saying “but Aunt B he’s just sleeping.”

Lyrics are wrong: "Still betting hatches"? So batten the hatches (shut the doors)

Seriously. CC doesn't always spell correctly. Biggest screw up EVER was "n da gada davida" which was SUPPOSED TO BE "in the garden of Eden". Jonas is singing his heart out and YOU get hung up on ONE WORD??? You're missing the whole point.
@jinxlyn432728 күн бұрын
@@brendaallen1351I mean the whole point of a lyrics video is that there are correct lyrics soooo… if you want to feel the song itself I recommend watching a video of Jonas singing it instead of a lyrics video.
@frankietrevino704919 күн бұрын
@@jinxlyn4327 I disagree, it's another way to feel whats being expressed and for the most part it clears up so many other areas of the song I know you disagree but thats ok thats just fine 😂

Addiction doesn't care who it affects I know from personal experience kids of addicts/alcoholics feel every bit of this kind of pain regardless of age
