Interesting video! Love to see the test process in the upcoming JS4 as well!

Thanks for posing all the test footage. It's super helpful. Interesting how much it goes nose-high on the second half of the first turn. A number of gliders do that. What causes it to be more vs less pronounced? Also, what is the maximum ballast load in certification spin testing? Do you go to Maximum Gross Weight?

Sorry to ask, but what plane is towing you at ~3:40?

Can CFD predict (with reasonable accuracy) the flight characteristics that need to be shown during certification flight testing?

Curious - what was all the dust when the airbrakes were deployed?? I'm surprised no one has asked haha

Dust and dirt seems to be settling in the cockpit and vents over time. When opening the brakes at those speeds resulted in an instant negative G acceleration, enough to slam your head through the canopy. Dust also flies up front the vent channels and is flushed to the cockpit with the expected flow when flying 300km/h +. Not a comfortable test...

@@jonkersailplanes3113 Hi, you think you will be able to jump from glider when this test will fail in that speed etc?

Very cool video. A minor takeaway about one of the instruments, but this video shows that the LX NAV AHRS isn't very good. Look at the footage at 1:45, the AHRS completely disagrees with the actual horizon

@@9688545187 a digital artigical horizon isn't made for spinning. They are slower than mechanical one . I every "normal" situation or in an emergency like getting intp a cloud this could sace your life (and glider too)
