I feel like there's a lot of big misunderstanding on what happened to the original video uploaded by Schlatt. The video got taken down because of the autogenerated video that KZbin has created on behalf of Schlatt. There is no record company striking him because it is his own music; it was probably better to just remove the original video on his other channel so the autogenerated one can be the official one.

Nobody here is right, the company that owns the song took it down as it is not transformative under copyright law (covers are not allowed, and parody is just restricted to criticism and review under fair use) Random people CAN copyright strike with one of two intentions: 1. To doxx people (the only/primary definite way is to send out a lawsuit, which includes your full legal name) 2. To remove people’s work unjustly( if you have a grudge)
