I'm curious about your jigging speed/technique. I fish inshore in Delaware in the Indian River which is much shallower in most places than where you are fishing, I'm going to say mostly 25' and much less. I typically use a bucktail no heavier than 3 oz (and that's in a ripping current) to hold bottom, usually using 3/4 to 1 oz. It "feels" kind of strange to jig as quickly in the conditions I am fishing. I'm guessing it works better the more line is out and the heavier the weight. I'm thinking you are more stretching the line than you are moving the rig up and down, causing it to twitch more than to rise and fall. The rod probably has a lot to do with it, too. I really enjoy your videos. You guys know how to appeal to fish!
