His price is high but his contribution does absolutely back up that kind of request. For starters he's only 23 and has finally cracked the starting lineup so you're getting a young starting center. Looking at his stats that are notable he's averaging 4.3 ORB per game, and 7 ORB per 100 possessions - those are premier offensive rebounding stats and he leads the league in offensive boards per game while averaging less minutes than other comparable centers. He also fouls at a low percentage while altering shots and is second to only Victor Wembenyama in blocks. His advanced statistics are crazy as well, with a 135 Offensive rating and 114 Defensive rating (+21 differential) as well as healthy winshares and BPM. Kessler is going to be a real problem as he finishes developing and letting him go without getting first rounders and players would be mismanagement at a catastrophic level for the Jazz. There's a reason everyone wants to trade for him and it's not because he's an average center that you could find on the waiver wire. He's not Hakeem but he is one of the best true centers, if not the best true center in the league today and he's only 23 years old

Kessler would be a nice addition. But the cost is too high. Utah doesn’t have to trade him either. Williams has consistent injury problems and, more importantly, he’s in Portland. Portland does not want to trade with the Lakers and historically hasn’t. Bruce Brown is having a bad year and makes a pretty high salary. He’s the only one of these trade ideas that holds water.

It's actually sometimes great management to find players that are enemies with your star and bring them in... think Lebron and Lance, Scottie and Rodman.. Trade those draft picks Rui JHS Wood Gabe for two dudes with potential through the roof that are already great defensively. AS has played with Dwight and McGee bro so stop that 3pt shooting advertisement like it’s the biggest downfall of the center can’t shoot. Jarret Allen can’t really shoot neither can Zubac Segun and Hartenstein. But they are good at getting boards and protecting the rim which LA needs. The best options to get that is Claxton and Kessler, one of them was already in DPOY discussions and the other is already one of the best rim protectors being so young. And then Trent like you said he’s just another big body to have who u can go small with in some lineups. He's a great fit not only short term but long term after Bron. He's in his prime. Bron has been lacking that dog to go to war with like he had in Kyrie and Dwade. Especially in the 4th during playoff games. AD somehow always disappears whether through injury or just being disengaged.
