when you use a whole gallon of oil like that to deepfry, you can wait for it to cool down, then put it back in the bottle through a coffee filter and a funnel. that oil is good for at least 10 different deepfry meals if you repeat this process. then you have a much smaller bottle of oil that you use for everyday cooking. but a bottle of oil that size with set you back 20$. definitely not something to waste for one batch of fries. reduce, reuse, recycle! wasting food is the worst thing you could do for the environment.

quick tip on gravy: make the flour into a slurry before adding it! Raw flour in hot liquids (that arent fats) will cause clumps :3 But if it goes in as a slurry (just flour and water) it'll incorporate properly. :D THIS LOOKS SO GOOD UGH

I lived in Canada for 11 years (now in Austria) and I loved poutine so much... now that I am Vegan, I struggle at times to find a way to still enjoy some of my comfort foods, or as Rose Gagnon below described, the "food you eat when you're drunk, sitting on the side of the road waiting for a taxi after a wild night out" - bout sums it up, eh Rose? :D Thank you...and please, give Jenna hugs and thanks from me and my wife. We are sad about her decision, but we understand it. I have followed her since 2011 and honestly, her videos are the highlight to my week, and then yours were added to it some years later. It is nice to see two down to earth people, living life, sharing their experiences - but I know in doing so, you are both opened up to a world of horrible people, that have nothing better to do than to bring others down. Yes, we all have a past and we have all made mistakes, but what should matter is how you go forward, how you loved and how you learned. I’ve just started a capstone project for my graphic design degree that involves branding for a fusion restaurant of our creation, so I chose poutine and pizza because obviously who wouldn’t want that. Whenever I make a gravy and am adding flour to thicken the stock, I always mix the flour separately with a little of the stock, then add it to the rest. That helps eliminate lumps anytime you're adding a dry powder to a liquid

Have you been to La Belle Patate on Davie st, van?! It's owned by a guy from Quebec and it's as authentic as it gets! If you keep the last quarter inch or so of the green onions, the bit with the roots about a thumbnail length, and then shove it in dirt and water it? The green onion grows back. You can just... keep taking free onion forever. I always plant my nubbins so I have a ton of the things growing in my kitchen window. Since you were so excited about the rosemary, I figured you'd love to grow your own onions too with bits you already have. As always, adore the B-Roll and the high energy.
