Fab Fit Friday - Full Coverage Tank Top + Progress on the Tucked Dress

Today I'm sharing how I adjusted my Gym Tank for a looser fit & full coverage for my huge sports bra straps. I love the Beyond Yoga Fabric from ‪@FabricMartFabrics‬ ... It's soft , breathable and feather light... without being see through!! So excited to make more tanks so I can give my Target Tanks a break!
Then I picking up the Linen Tuck Dress!! Notice I didn't say "Pintuck" ...Let's get tucking!!

The tank is great and the color looks great on you. Something you can wear year round. Under a jacket or sweater when it gets a bit chilly and then as a layer piece when it gets real cold. I’m just thinking could you do your tucks almost like a sewn crease on the front of pants. Like baste a 3/8 inch seam all the way down the dress just to keep it under control then turn the pleats up top and sew across to get pleats right and then remove basting thread.

Thanks! I'm really digging some colors vs. wearing black all the time. That sounds like a good way to do it... I'm just "struggling" with the width and placement of them... I'm going to work on a sample to see what I like. Thanks for following along!

Is "Welcome, welcome!" a Peggy Sager original or a Jennifer Stern one? Great tank top pattern. I prefer a full coverage one with a little wiggle room too. Your picture was full view and the volume on the microphone was fine the entire time I watched the video. I think problems existed elsewhere.

:) I've never watched Peggy's videos... I think I was just a little excited for this one!! I wore that tank for the rest of the day... even to go with my husband to find khaki shorts and a black polo for a work gig this weekend... In the store, he looked at me and said that top isn't finished yet (no neckline/armhole finish)... That's what I'll be doing today! Thank you for letting me know the pic/audio was good!

Hi! I have all my mother's sewing "stuff" and in this collection there are attachments for things I have no clue what they are. But I do know of a ruffler. And I believe one of the others said pleat on it. Have you ever tried to use any of those old contraptions?

:) I think I have a box of old attachments somewhere on my shelf... Honestly It never occurred to me to take them out and try to use them :))) Maybe I should!

I really like how you adjusted the tank pattern. I much prefer that over the tight tank. I am going to try what you did. i not very good at doing what you do! but only adjusting one side i should be able to handle?!! Will I be able to Only slash one side and have it be OK on the other side??

:) Thanks! If you slash and spread one side... then cut it out on the center fold, the slashed area "transferred" to the other side! Hope that helps!! Thanks for catching the replay!

This video is really messed up I was viewing you ok in the beginning but all of a sudden when you started moving around the sound is cutting off and on so I can’t understand what you are talking about 😮 hopefully it will get straightened out 🤞🏻
