As of 2/3/2024 this video has 94.4% likes and 5.6% dislikes. I assume the dislikes are from people not understanding missing details. The wild bunny spent about 2 months in my backyard, THEN spent most of its time all over the neighborhood. Then I spotted it teaching 2 of my bunnies how to escape. 3 times I caught 2 of my bunnies in my front yard and put them back. If I do not keep control of my bunnies i could lose my rights to keep them. SOOOO, backyard bunny had to go. Perhaps I should have not called it backyard bunny, but oh well. We move on to what to do next. I would love to take the time to go see if I could spot backyard bunny... If you see me there please don't embarrass me or I might run off into the woods and hide.

I wouldn’t do that. I’d never try to embarrass someone intentionally. Quite the opposite. I actually like quite a lot of your videos and I love your bunnies. All of them. If you DO happen to see backyard bunny someday catch some video, please?❤️😊

The dislikes may be out of concern that after spending a couple of months with you, he’s no longer a wild animal and may not be able to properly care for himself, but was released nonetheless.

Just a bit of advice. There's always gonna be people who don't like something, especially on KZbin, even if you're doing absolutely nothing wrong. There's so many negative people on this app just for the sake of being negative or a troll. I wouldn't pay any attention to that small percent of dislikes. It would be different if you were doing something obviously awful, or if they were leaving constructive criticism. But 5% is nothing to worry about on this app

Man, people can even dislike a cute cat video, don't pay attention to the dislike/like ratio most of the time it's trolling, miss clicking or negativity in small percentage

@@bdough5012it has instincts. It's not like it hasn't done well so far- he's not an inside bunny, you know? the fact that he's still kicking is surprising. he chased it to scare it off humans, because he probably did feel safe with him, but people are not safe. people will hate no matter what, man. if I'm working hard to grow my garden and a lil bunny is coming through and eating it all up he's probably gonna get evicted, too. it's better than pesticides or posions or LGDs that would make squeaky toys out of them. I swear, no good deed goes unpunished. this was the best option. life is no guarantee for animals, and I don't think your human brain can comprehend that from the safety of your bed.

I was in the neighbors yard installing my fence and her husband gave me permission to go in the but later denied it for fear of his angry wife who is on social welfare and really big. Then I think her husband called the cops again when me and the wife were arguing about something stupid. I was outside and she was inside so we were quite loud when yelling and only that neighbor was around. To hear it. I ended up yelling at him after that and he ran inside, he never speaks his opinion and basically talks like Forest Gump. But whatever, we leave each other be. Nothing happened when the cops showed up. Sometimes they are annoyed with callers for false alarms.

Ya, my big king bunny does that all the time. Back legs sticking out all the way. When you see that you know the area is safe and the rabbit has nothing to worry about, unless the huge predator birds repopulate. I think these bunnies are too big for a cat. I have one video where the 2 brothers were fighting and that speed and coordinated attacks I could not see. I had to put it on the computer and slow it down to study them. Then I realized how dangerous that can be if they desire to fight. They go for kicks to the back of the head and try to bite chunks out of each other often going for the private parts with those scissor like teeth. I am on top of keeping them from fighting.

As the owner of a rescued wild Cottontail (who has lived in my house for 3 years now) I will say that this rabbit's instincts will kick in, big-time. And actually releasing it in a park near people was a good idea; it is actually safer from predators. When a band of wild coyote moved into the preserve next to our house, many of the rabbits moved toward the front of the neighborhood, closer to people. It kept them alive. Coyote are very shy and afraid of people. Our house butts right up to the wooded preserve; we've seen coyote and even bear right in our front yard. We have a red-shouldered hawk that sits in our birdbath. I could never release a wild rabbit here. They wouldn't last five minutes.

@@milesmorgan7938exactly. Plus, wire flooring is cruel and painful for bunnies. They have sensitive hocks and need soft comfy solid flooring. For ppl that don’t know, hocks are the the joints facing backwards in a rabbits hind legs. It’s equivalent to the heel of a human. They are a crucial part to the way the hind legs work and keep a spring in their step. Keeping bunnies on wire flooring makes their hocks sore and is incredibly painful for them

Many animals get rescued, then get rehabbed then re-released back into the wild, there is a right way of doing things and a cruel way of doing things, same goes for leaving comments…you jump on and it’s clear your comment is laced with neg attitude, toxity and an obvious temper. Hmmm... he's not really wild having grown up with you handling him. I don't like to point fingers, but this time.. I'm sorry.. I think you were wrong to release him. He has a semi trust of humans. He is not truly wild. Nope. This is wrong. Just wrong.

The entire forest and lands are their home and they need to find mates that will not try to attack it. If it got in the pin the bigger bunnies will rip it apart when it reaches 6 months.

@@mariakatsalirou4900 He found him where his dogs were and decided to bring him over to the part of his backyard where he kept his rabbits. There the wild rabbit stayed for a few months (not in a pen or cage, but just freely running around) before he got kicked out as seen in this video. (which btw was due to a neighbor who threatened to call the cops, [due to the Rabbit breaking out and into the neighbors‘ gardens multiple times] the tomatoes were a secondary issue). It was not domesticated, it was not a pet and it was still afraid of humans and predators (his dogs were a good reminder for the rabbit). Even if he isn’t 100% wild anymore, it still has all the necessary abilities to survive in the wild and will very soon return to being a wild animal. Even if the little guy does not survive, that is not the fault of this dude, but merely the circle of life coming to its end and therefore also starting anew. Prey animals die, that’s sad, but ultimately necessary for life to continue as we know it.

Shouldn't. Wild bunnies are scared of humans. They're completely different from domesticated bunnies. It probably saw the yard as free food. Now that it's free, it can now learn to survive on its own like most wild bunnies.
