Natto, a typical Japanese health food, is made of soybeans steamed and then fermented with natto bacilli. It is an easily digested food and rich in protein, calcium, iron and vitamins.
There's no denying the food purity advantages of the grass-bundle packaging, but it still completely blows my mind seeing it done on any sort of commercial level, let alone in a full-blown factory.

I don't think they use natural straw packages anymore. Straw was used for Bacillus subtilis var. natto originally
