JT Birds Watching at Gray Lodge Wildlife Area │ Gridley in Northern California
Gray Lodge is a SPECTACULAR venue for #birding, especially in the winter months, when all the migratory ducks and geese fill the ponds.
Everywhere you look, your eye catches flickers of movement.
A shrill cacophony of honks and quacks filter in from every direction...
It's overwhelming...but in the best way possible.
This general region, on the outskirts of Sacramento, is LOADED with habitat similar to this. I also strongly recommend a visit to the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge, Colusa Wildlife Refuge, and Consumnes River Preserve.
This area is possibly home to the best birding in Northern California. Hope you can make it out there too.

@@JTbirds Hi! We live in Colorado, so this is where we take the majority of our videos and birdwatch. But we also have Texas, FL, and AZ birding video (and others) if you want to subscribe. We are planning on birding in your neck of the woods too with our Van. 😆 Yay! We want to add more lifers. We’ll have to plan our trip up there around fall and winter.
