At least Drance didn't embarrass his team last year and need a coach like Tocchet to make a 30 year old man play to his abilities. I'm with the Vancouver media. Their job is to hold the Canucks' feet to the fire. These are all very rich men who poor people are paying to watch play a child's game, and I say that as a hockey fan. I'm just not 12 years old anymore. All I see is a multi-millionaire with a history of embarrassing his team on television trying to be a smart ass to a guy making a tiny fraction of his salary for asking a question. If Zoomers think the media is bad now, they would have loved them in the 80s and 90s. The Canucks have been garbage for years up until this season. If the media isn't being cautious and asking tough questions, even after this hot start, they're not doing their job. This reminds me of Trump fans who say the media is mean and unfair to their boy. And I'm not just picking on Trump. Everyone has a favourite politician who they want to protect from the media asking them hard questions. If I'm spending $130 for a ticket plus parking, gas and food for one game to watch a bunch of rich people play hockey, I would hope the media would do their jobs and not be mouthpieces for the organization.
