A shining example of utilizing multiple styles and making it your own. I don't think I've ever seen anyone incorporate chicken picking, blues scale runs, tapping and Vai-esque slides and whammy in a single solo before and make it work.

I'd say they are more so embellishments rather than "imperfections". Sergey seems to take the utmost care in every note he plays. Definitely one of the most precise and controlled new talents out there

Russia's got some amazing talent coming through...Sergey is excellent! I really loved the fluency of his tapping technique as well as the single coil tone he's chosen to play the stuff with...shows how clean and perfect his technique is...unlike other players who use high output humbuckers or even active humbuckers sometimes with huge amounts of gain, for the pickups to compress the tone and make notes sound more even...and basically compensate for what their fingers can't do. Instead, Sergey made sure to get his technique up there to perfection...and I also don't see him using any elastic band to mute the notes near the nut, which makes him even more admirable! The clarity of the tone is nearly too good to be true! Sergey, please let me know whether your neck pickup is a regular single coil or a noiseless one. If it IS a noiseless one it's the best sounding one I've ever heard, if not it's just a very nice and open sounding al5 single coil (if I'm hearing correctly). Thanks

Слишком сильно копирует Гована. Copies Govan too much.
@zafira97610 жыл бұрын
Well...just the fact that he's able to "copy" Guthrie, shows his incredible amount of talent! Part of practising IS transcribing/copying the greats...otherwise he wouldn't be able to reach that level at such young age! Now comments like "He copies Guthrie to much..." Too much for what?! What is the measurement for not enough, just about right and too much...?! I think people should be praising young players of such brilliant level rather than making negative comments. The other alternative would be for YOU to upload some videos of such level of guitar playing...perhaps without "copying Guthrie too much", to show us how it's done. I'm really looking forward...
@blink0r10 жыл бұрын
Is that how he gets that unique tone? single coils? I've always wondered

I like this kind of music, and including jakub zyteck's video in jamtrackcentral... what would you guys consider this genre of music... would it be fusion?
@Dagnus28411 жыл бұрын
I guess it's really "djent" it's a new genre of metal with a metalcore aspect but the lead guitarists are incredibly fusiony
