Man it has been a long journey to get to this point with our 64 Ford Galaxie Country Sedan Station Wagon. We bought this car out of a junkyard 2 years ago with all the brakes stuck, windows down, and the spark plugs out of the engine. After failing to get the engine running and then failing to be able to get it rebuilt because the block was bad we finally had to swap engines to a later model 302 5.0 out of a fox body mustang that we had pulled out of our 83 Fairmont Futura. And in the last video we got it running for the first time and drove it around the yard without brakes. So we are back this time to install all new brakes, a new Hooker exhaust system, and an awesome set of Rocket Racing hoops and new casings. Can we drive this old girl out on the road for the first time in over 30 years after rescuing it from the junkyard? #winwithholley

It’s very common for those shift linkages to lock up, usually it’s either not adjusted quite right or the bushings are worn. But it sure sounds great now, those wagons are more popular than ever. Keep up the great work.

The trick I usually use on brake lines is to use a wire wheel on a drill, and clean the line and the flare nut to the point i can see separation of the two parts, then use penetrating oil to free up the nut from the line. If the line breaks from the wire wheel, it was destined to break anyway, it likely would not have held the pressure, or would have broken at the most inopportune time.

Its comforting to see im not the only one with the " cat catching rabbits problem..." Yes its spring going into summer and as anyone knows, the rabbits are breeding and plentiful.Especially the baby bunnies as you can imagine.The other day I saw my cat with a bunny in its mouth outside the window (bunny perfectly fine) and I opened up the window and yelled, "HEY ! DROP IT BUD !!" Hes a Tomcat so you can imagine the temtation with a baby bunny but he looked up at me yellin that out the window and immediatly put it down and the bunny ran off. I know you cant stop nature but its nice to know I have a well trained Tomcat ! (even when he knows hes doing what I dont want ..) Now mice? Well, theyre on their own...

Great to see the Country Squire station wagon driving down the road again. I was born in 1961 so my friends and I rode in the way back seats of course! (3rd row). During the summer we would go to the local lake in Ridgefield CT. It was called Great Pond. Every station wagon made by the big 3 and American Motors was in the parking lot. We would put our flip flops on and run from the wagon to the beach!! You might consider a Hurst shifter or even switch to a ford 4 speed manual transmission with a good shifter and shift arms. That was a smart idea to switch to the dual master cylinder -- much safer for the kids and the wife and Rocky!!

IF YOU WANT TO SAVE A GAS TANK, I'm a welder and done this numerous times. After you've cleaned out the tank with water, fill it again with the bottom on the ground, then take a cutting wheel and cut a hole in the top, 7inches x 10 inches then dump the water out then steam clean from all angles, put a 90 degree pipe fitting on end of the wand and it allows you to clean the top inside of the tank, using the gas guage hole also to clean all of the inside. When finished cut a piece of metal 1/2 inch bigger than the hole you first cut and stitch weld it back together and you've save a tank. The last one I did was a 1955 Studebaker. It's not dangerous because the fumes is what ignites. I acually through a stick match into an open 5 gal bucket of liquid gas by accident, that I used to clean parts (in the old days I'm 82) and I watched in horror as it sunk into the gas so I'm not worried about the solid gas as much as the fumes, I swear this is the truth, hope this helps,

On those copper sealing washers you can make them work like new by heating them up red hot and letting them cool off this anneal the copper, that means it makes the copper soft. Once tightened down and it sets very long the copper gets hard and may not seal well. The annealing makes them soft and will seal again.

When we first moved to San Pedro California back in the day, My dad bought one of those Country Sedans. It was even that color. Before he would drive it, he had to add fluids to the power steering, oil, trans fluid (auto), and water. It leaked like a sieve. It was fun to ride around in though.

By the way, we saw the old thunderbird that was next to the wagon. We have a 1967 Ford Thunderbird. It is 1 of 208, this exact interior and options. Just got it 2yrs ago. Saved it actually! It was covered in green moss, filth, 4 rats nests and black spots on the red interior. With alot of elbow grease we are now putting it in car shows every so often.
