You are absolutely right to make that comparison. Most Americans are simply void of humour, and should we even mention sarcasm? Try being friendly sarcastic to an American, they have not got a clue! The last time I tried sarcasm on a US channel, I got accused being passive aggressive! 🤣However, both JT and Anna are fantastic and I love this channel. They have put a lot of effort into understanding the UK and it shows. I still disagree about their language being "English". Americans do not speak English, they speak American. 😝

Yeah I thought when he said that Cadbury cream eggs were illegal. It was to do with them not being able to sell many products in America because Hershey has the rights. Kinder egg is banned in America and they have a Kinder product in the shape of an egg that opens in the middle and you remove the packaging on each side to reveal the product/Choc.

Mustard can be pretty good in some recipes, I'm not a fan of mustard, but in stews, hotpots, even in meatloaf, it adds a "zing", and mayonnaise with a little mustard, with ham, is pretty good too.

Guys, with that fantastic little tin of peace pudding, get some of your lovely thick cup ham in the dry frying pan just warm it through so it’s just warm the ham I mean in a saucepan open the can put the peace put inside just a splash of water and stir thick and sticky. The closest American equivalent to HP Sauce would be A1 Steak Sauce(originally a UK brand of "brown sauce"), HP is thicker than A1 with a more ketchup like consistency(speaking of ketchup, if you put ketchup on it, then brown sauce will often work instead)

You need to try cheese on toast with mustard and Worcestershire sauce! Toast the bread fully on one side. Turn over and lightly toast the other side. Apply a thin coat of mustard, then a generous amount of cheese. Finish off with a sprinkling of Worcestershire sauce. Put back under the the heat until the cheese has nicely melted.

So the English mustard is TOTALLY different from American or (french) mustard. It's VERY spicy, almost metallicy. So only try a very small amount 😂❤

You gotta have the hp sauce in a bacon butty, you can add a fried egg and a slice of cheese if you like but beware having a lot of hp sauce is can be very strong to those who are new to it. You get the ratio right and its perfection. The english mustard is very strong compared to american mustard, i love it and use it for a lot of things most people wouldnt even contemplate over here lol. Glad youre all doing well and the lightening didnt hurt you or the doggos and cat.
