'frying' slowly on a frying pan is pretty much the same as heating them up in a saucepan, only on the pan they're spread out more across it in a thinner layer, so they cook through at a more equal rate, probably faster overall as there's a larger heating surface to the BBs mixture on it. Plus if/when there trace residual meatjuices, they can be blended into the sauce of the beans. IDK some people getting miffed, vexed & ire-some at a different sort of pan being used.

Only things I've ever had broken weren't adequately packed first and don't ever mark a parcel "fragile", especially during holiday season. I've heard stories of seasonal PO workers making a game of kicking them around or dropping other heavy parcels on them in the chute. Just pack whatever it is in a rigid box with at least a 2" gap filled with padding and tape it securely.

To be fair I can understand the delivery persons frustration even though they reacted unprofessionally. I work in that kind of industry and that box went through over a dozen pairs of hands before it got to that delivery driver, as well as being lumped into various different piles of packages at each depot/airport along the way, without much consideration of what is piled on top of it. The majority of those boxes come to the drivers in a state, and protocol insists on sending them out regardless. I know USPS/UPS for instance already have their vans loaded up for them before they get to work, so the first time they touch that parcel is often when they're walking it up your drive. The average consumer does not think about any of that though, so will default to taking any frustration out on the only person they've met along the chain, the driver.

- Torte is pronounced without the "e". - Do NOT fry baked beans. They will lose all their moisture and you will end up with crispy dried up beans! 🤮I understand the issue with the expense of buying a microwave but a small saucepan would not cost that much and the temperature would be far easier to control than using a frying pan. - I have commented before about USPS. However, having listened to this video, it is almost certainly more the fault of the airline baggage staff and not USPS. Airline baggage staff simply do not care and I have many of my own experiences around Europe to qualify my argument. - Anna's apron is seriously cute. JT's apron is too funny for words! - Anna you looked beautiful in that flowery white top. I think it is perfectly fine for wearing in public but you may wish to have something underneath as it is quite see-through.

Bit of trivia for you. The Lyle's Golden Syrup tin has an odd content weight of 454 grams, which harks back to the original contents weighing 1lb. The tin size has always remained the same volume but regulations meant the weight had to be in grams, so it is an odd number. The product now comes is a variety of containers but the original tinned version is still available and is in the Guiness Book of Records as the world's oldest branding and packaging design still in use for over 140 years.

Golden syrup is much thicker than maple syrup or honey, especially when it’s in the tin like you’ve received. If you warm your teaspoon or knife blade under hot water it will help to spread the golden syrup you have. It’s also available here in a thinner version that’s in a squeezy bottle which makes it much easier to drizzle all over your porridge oats or Hot BUTTERED Toast!!! It’s pure sugar and totally indulgently delicious. You gotta try it, guys. 😊

I'm all for the beans on toast. I've been eating it most of my Life, buttering the toast is an absolute must. Though I'm probably going to get hounded for this from my fellow Brits, I like to occasionally amp it up by adding some fried onions into the mix and maybe a spice or two and a splash of tobasco sauce. This is why i get why Americans dislike it; as it can be bland. Its the most basic meal to experiment with, but you just cant go wrong the old school beans on toast WITH butter! 😄

Sometimes a dash of Worcestershire or larger splashing of Light Soy sauce/s) &/or along with a heavy amount of ground black pepper mixed in beans is my flavourful twist BBs. Hell, sometimes once or twice a year I might sweeten the peppered beans with a heaped teaspoon of maple syrup to add a bit of a Canadian flavour - plus the thick sweet helps contain the spiciness of the black pepper
