Did way better than most Americans. I, v etc are Roman numerals. Like in film sequels, if a king or queen did a good job we reused the name, so had to differentiate between them. So I is 1 or “the first”, ii is 2 or second, iii is three or the third. Here’s where it gets harder, so you don’t end up with huge strings of “I”s five uses the letter V. Putting an I before it means take one away; and an I after it means add one to. So 4 is IV, one off five. The system carries on so v(5), vi(6), vii(7) and viii (8). 10 gets a new letter, X, so 9 is IX. But the highest one for English monarchs is viii (the eighth ) for Henry and Edward. Charles is the Prince of Wales, the eldest son of the monarch, that title is always held by the first in line to the throne. Anne is the Queens Daughter. The War of 1812 was the one where the British burnt the White House. Great tip on All of The Above option though.

Considering that a lot of British knowledge isn't taught in America, which is fine, pretty sure it's the same for us Brits about American history, you did an amazing job and your reasoning was sound. Thames is pronounced Tems and is the river that flows through London as an FYI!

'Thames' is said 'Tems' The PM, Tony Blair repealed the death penaty just so when he's tried for his crimes, he will not be executed.

What a great 14 mins. As Brit, I can honestly say I'd have got 2 wrong there. Usually these type videos are quite annoying, with clueless Americans trying to appear smart at any cost but you my friend are one of the most honest and down to earth Americans I have ever seen and are more than welcome to visit the UK, especially Wales. King Richard died in battle, his killers dumped his body in a quickly made grave, centuries of soil built up on top of that, we eventually built a parking lot in that area. No one knew where King Richard was buried, which is why he is known as "the lost king of England", a group of historians did some research and got permission to unearth specific locations and found his bones, it was so close that if they started their trench just 50cm in any direction, they would've missed it entirely.

Good video. In regard to King Richard III. No they didn’t have parking lots ‘back then’. They built a parking lot over the land he was buried in, because the location of his grave had been lost over time.

I had to smile at your pronunciation of the River Thames. (Tems) just in case you were wondering. In the Thames estuary there is a sunken munitions ship that can't be moved because the explosives that are still on board are very unstable and could cause a massive explosion equivalent to that of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
