No kidding, I swear the way this dude talks I thought he was my age (37) like chill out JT you are SO young lol you’ve no idea where life will take you. I always remember my best friend from high school and into our 20s saying she’d never leave Cardiff because of her parents. I left and came back and left and what ever from 15… Shes now left Cardiff and is working as a lawyer in London with a fella and all. Life takes you where it takes you, I’m currently in Glasgow but this time next year I could be in Kuala Lumpur… travels exciting! You can always “Go Home” when you’re old.

Hello JT, I can completely understand why you would never consider moving away from your Kentucky roots. I spent 25 years of my life living in Southern England, both escaping and recovering from the traumas of my youth before returning to my native Scotland at the age of 43. London and then to much greater extents, Bristol and Hampshire, served me fairly well through good times and bad, letting me begin that journey of discovering whom I might be and identifying both my values and passions. It provided me with many, wonderful friendships of which several remain, even today. Despite all this positivity though; I would never, ever willingly leave the shores of my native land again, as I now realise I was never complete without it. Visiting is another matter of course - and I'm pleased to know that still figures in your future plans, as you'll then be able to experience some of what we all hold so dear, and want to share with you, for yourselves... We are each our own worst critics when it comes to these things that was consider our faults, especially. I am vaguely aware that there are times when you struggle with this or that, and when I feel prompted to encourage you - but that's only really because you're drawn my attention to it! You've fit an awful lot into your short life already, no doubt because you're known as a good, hard worker - and because you're enterprising, too. I'm sure I told you before that Kelly Baits is absolutely amazing, because you did that, nobody else...! And having decided to share your life with Anna whom it is plaing for all to see is an ideal match for you, my advice is to make your relationship all about the two of you, and not to feel pressured by the customs or traditions of others. The absolute loveliness that is the very happy lives of your two little dogs is already a tribute to you both - and that fact that you still have time for even the older and dodgier-looking guys like me is a great testament of your maturity. So don't you ever apologise for any aspect of who you are, or for the choices and decisions you make, lovely young man!

What sort of house are you going to build. A log cabin would be perfect for that setting, but won’t you find it a bit isolated, I love my own company but do like to have people within a short walk away and we have two neighbours, two families, and we live in a village of approximately 1,500 people spread out over a good few miles, all are farmers. Good luck and happy building.

If I were going to employ someone I’d do it from the interview and NOT from experience or qualifications, I’m not saying they don’t count, they do, but sometimes you get a feel for someone, and you know they’ll learn and fit in well. You can get a CV and think they’ll be brilliant but they are awful at interview. I did interview someone once, who just laughed the whole time, and I knew how good she was as we worked together before, so my theory doesn’t always work lol. If you're interested in metal detecting, I would recommend a little BBC sitcom called 'Detectorists' if you are able to stream it anywhere? It's one of those series where not very much happens, but it's very watchable at the same time, and a great example of our understated British humour. Plus it's set in my corner of the UK - Essex, and captures the beauty of the English countryside perfectly.

I like metal detecting i have a NCMD membership so im insured on people's land, that's something else I've struggled with lately getting permission because people are quite mardy these day's and won't give permission mainly because so many detectorists don't respect the land. My best find was in some woodland around the corner ( 5 minutes walk from my house ) i found a roman coin over 1800 year's old ive been told by a museum curator it's roughly the middle or later 2nd Century AD, the portrait looks to be of either Antininus Pius (AD138-160) or Marcus Aurelius (AD160-180). I've also found old English coins, bullets, bit's of mortars and bit's of grenades around where i live.

Funny you said about it being pitch black outside at 4.30. Its that here now at 4.30!! We live in Shipston on Stour, which is 9 miles away from Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire. We go past Shakespeares birth place when we go shopping, been past it that many times we barely give it a thought. Keep up the videos, it makes me smile when you both open a parcel, particularly when Anna reacts to it. By the way if you try black pudding when you do come over, it needs to be good quality and cooked by someone who knows what they're doing. Ive had black pudding in the past, when its bad it looks like an ice hockey puck but tastes worse!!!!

The thing about the “free” healthcare in the UK is that, if you come here on to live on a visa, … it isn’t free. If you’re here for 6 months or under you wouldn’t pay but any longer and they would have to pay around £600 a year per person to access the NHS.

The "free" healthcare isn't free either, we all pay for it (and somehow it's never enough money) but the main thing is that said "free" healthcare is shit. Waiting times are months on end for the simplest things unless you're dying right then and there is the biggest issue.

@@dodo19923 the big thing was that it’s “free” at the point of delivery, ie you don’t get clobbered with a single big bill because you’ve actually being paying towards it for years.

It's perfectly normal to want to leave home in your teens but great to be able to come home. I couldn't imagine living anywhere but Scotland. It's home. I'd like to visit the States though. Congratulations on your land purchase😊

I think if i lived there i wouldn't want to move either having all that space and being out the way of other people, plus being able to own guns because i collect guns and other weapons but here in England there's a lot of limitations so i only have airguns, crossbows, compound bows ect and i don't really have anywhere to go with them now because 1 place i had permission to go the owner has sold and moved and the woods near where i live i have always gone and set targets up and used to go as a child camping, building shelters and swings has all been sold and blocked off from the public so now i can only use a couple of my guns in my back garden as it's only around 15-20ft long. I could only dream of having somewhere like you have there, im jealous but you and Anna deserve everything you have and more especially for being such good people and for giving so many of us entertainment and a reason to smile.

JT if you like metal detecting, you need to hunt down a British TV series called Detectorists. It's fantastic, very dry British humour and was written by McKenzie Crook. Much love to you, Anna and the fur babies!

Does anyone else think JT’s Reactmas photo in his England bucket hat look like almost the stereotype of an England football supporter? I reckon if you told an AI to generate a photorealistic image of a twentyish male England fan you wouldn’t have to have too many goes before you got a pic looking like JT in his England hat. He could go to an England game and fit right in.
