Just remember with the dates on the food items, anything that comes from the UK, we date ours as day/month/year. Just with Anna saying something was good until September. Just make sure you read the expiration dates the correct way around. I know you in the states read/write your dates as month/day/year.

True, but best before dates usually don't have a day written on them unless they're freshly made. Fresh goods, or goods with really short shelf lives like bread typically have for example "Best before 25 Jan", whereas goods with longer shelf lives (biscuits, tinned goods, pickles, preserves, etc.) typically have month/year written on them in either "09/24" format or "Sep 2024" format.

“It is fragile, but they don’t listen”…😂 literally every postal service on the planet. The snowballs are so good. A walnut whip is a chocolate covered marshmallow, but the chocolate is hard cause they coat it more than once, topped with a walnut. We ate them in the 90’s. Is the cow hat a tea cosy? 😂 can be worn too, now I know. Yeah, shortbread has butter in it and if made correctly, it should taste buttery.

M&S (Marks and Spencer) is a British retailer bringing quality, great value food, clothing and homeware . Their food is pretty good, if not on the pricier side from normal supermarkets. Percy Pig as well as Colin the Catterpiller cake are firm favourites. Your shortbread is from an artist called Steve Brown and I have one of his highland coo paintings 🥰

I'm not sure 'great value food' is exactly what I'd say. You get fleeced just because it has 'M&S' on it.

M&S started in Leeds kirkgate market. Everything cost a penny. The original stall is still in the market today

I don't really feel it's fair to say that you 'get fleeced' at M&S. You do pay more but know that you get a guaranteed quality level. Yes, there are lot's of cheaper places, but often the quality isn't as good. Also their cooking instructions on their prepared joints are at idiot level, which is perfect for my culinary skills, and it always amazes me that I can cook a perfect beef joint, for example, with no real skill needed. It's a case of convenience. With the time, know how, and a slow cooker, you can turn really cheap joints into delicious food, but sadly I have none of these. My Mother would always buy the Christmas food from Marks and Spencer and you knew it would be what you expected. No one forces people to shop at M&S, and I will also buy some things at other places where I trust the quality and I generally feel a peace of mind with M&S that I won't be let down. I've also known other places launch new lines, for example, which are initially nice, but then they seem to cut back on the quality and hope that people don't notice or don't mind. If you don't like M&S prices then just shop elsewhere.

Fun fact for Anna, Dobbie was buried at freshwater west in Pembrokeshire south wales where they filmed the movie. His grave is still there to this day where people leave socks and painted stones in memory of dobbie. The local council are trying to deter people leaving the painted stones and socks because of the risk to sea life. Not that many listen to that. If you ever visit your wales people, you should definitely go there. It’s a lovely area of wales to visit in the summer time.

Get two carpet samples and add a couple of straps to them, then you can slide your feet into them and walk around the house with the samples on your feet. It's a money saving tip for new homeowners.

Hello, great PO Box opening. We have a joke in the UK. If a parcel comes and it says FRAGILE, the bad postie will drop it and say, “yep it sounds like it”. Envelopes that say PHOTOS DO NOT BEND will come all twisted & bent with a note, “yes, they do”.

Those so-called "carpet samples" are not actually carpet samples. They are MUG RUGS to put under your coffee. Or tea. Or beer. They are coasters. Or use them to protect your kitchen counter when you need to move a hot pan off the stove. Or put them under heavy furniture to move stuff across hard floors without scratching. Attach them to the wall behind doors with knobs that knock into walls. When Spring arrives, take them outside and fling them like Frisbees for Maggie to chase in the big yard.

I have fallen out with cows at the moment. My daughter has suffered a severe injury from a cow throwing her up in the air. When sh3 landed her ankle snapped. This happened on the 1st day of January this year. She was the first Edale mountain rescue call out of this year. Due to bone being through the skin, she was also air lifted to the hospital. 2 lots of surgery later, her foot and ankle bones are being held together by an external fixator for the next 6 months at least

the 'quality street' chocolate bars you got are just full size bars of their normal individual pieces that you find in the 'quality street tins', a big tub of individually wrapped chocolate and toffee sweets, so instead of an assortment, they took the individual flavours of each one and made them into full sized bars.

I found out in September that I have type 2. Diabetes, I had my 3 month blood test last week and with the medication and some small diet changes along with cutting out fizzy drinks I’m back to pre-diabetic levels! You can still have the good stuff, just in moderation, I have a massive sweet tooth and I still have my chocolate and treats, just not as much, on the upside, I’ve lost nearly 2 stone in weight! Good luck and don’t totally deprive yourself, it’ll just make you miserable.xx

My daughter who was at the hospital with me rolled her eyes and said “ figures, just another one of mothers twofers “ have you ever tried laughing while having a heart attack? Not recommended! 🤣🤣

Btw “Quality Streets” are a selection of chocolates, usually in a tin or box, the strawberry cream, orange cream and green triangles are the best imo. They really remind me of Christmas as a kid 😊

Loving your P.O. Box Openings. One suggestion If you can get your hands on some try to get Hercules Hooks. I like them. It says you can hold up to 150 lbs. with only leaving a pin size hole. Just look them up for the new place .. once you get moved in. Oh be ready for Valentines day. Our town has a special Valentine they put out every year for the last 78 yrs.

What if I was to tell you that I got a cricket video reaction that will clear most (if not all the confusion and your questions about the game sport cricket. My daughter has one Highland and two Friesian calves in their barn atm ,the Highland is named Jeffery sadly his mother died just after his birth the other two are unnamed (girls) as yet - these will be forever pasture pets and spend their lives there with the horses an two donkeys
