The biggest mystery here is why the McCanns were never charged with neglect, who goes out for a meal and leaves 3 kids of that age alone in a hotel?

Because they're middle class. If they were working class or on benefits they would have been vilified and charged with negligence.

Well, I lived in a house that was built atop a medieval cemetary for most of my sixty years and it was quite easy actually, because . . . now, here's the thing! . . . the inhabitants of the cemetary are dead! There was no nightly ghostly shenanigans, no floating furniture, no ghastly screams, glowing orbs or . . . well, the only creepy thing was my mother, may she rest. There are some archeologists going to do some investigative digging soon and it'll be fascinating to see what they uncover. May the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth aid thy rest.

I live near Dartmoor in Devon, and someone I used to work with swore the 'Hairy Hands' banged on the roof of his car - he was driving across Dartmoor at night and broke down, he called the AA and while he was waiting for them something banged many times on the roof of his car, there was no one outside. The AA fixed his car and the next day when he went to his car in daylight he saw dents in the roof - we thought he had just lost the plot, but he swore blind that something banged on his roof. 😱

With the Madeline McCann yes it was shocking to hear, but what annoyed us Brits is why her parents never got charged with child neglect. What parents in their right mind leave their young child asleep in a holiday/vacation apartment and go out for dinner. The other disgusting thing about this case is that Madeline’s parents have made money from this.

Great reaction as always. You make me smile which, in these difficult times, is so very much appreciated. Congratulations on reaching 90k. Wow! I bet you didn't think you would get so far in such a short space of time. Well done, you deserve it for all the hard work you've put in. Have heard of all of these except the hairy hands. Am not sure about a movie though 'cause as a child the film that terrified me into many nightmares was 'The Mummy's Hand' (1940). Dread to think what a pair of hairy hands would do 😁. The Rendlesham Forest Incident, as it became known, is extremely interesting to me. Since it happened there has been a lot of warping of the story and some of the reports includes these. It makes it difficult for people to tell which is fact and which is fiction. Luckily for me I heard about this not long after so I remember the original story. This snippet does not do it justice at all. Firstly, not only did it involved two RAF bases which, at the time, was occupied by American Forces but also some civilians and local police. It started on the 26th Dec 1980 and went on to 28th Dec. Colonel Halt was, I believe, the deputy base commander of RAF Bentwaters and he joined in the search with a voice recorder. Part of the recording is available. It even came up in Parliament. The burn marks were not all that was discovered and it was what happened next that fascinated me. If you want to know more I suggest you look it up however I will say that the locations in the code are intriguing. They tried to debunk the recording, saying that it was the lighthouse a few miles up the road. I did listen to this arguement and, at first, you think 'okay, that sounds resonable'. Unfortunately when you go further into it and look at everything that happened and where it happened it just doesn't hold up. At least they didn't go with weather balloon, swamp gas or Venus 😁 which made a nice change 😀.

JT you should check out the Rendlesham event. I grew up close to there and met some of the American airman (USAF Police) who witnessed the event. Rendlesham Forest incident, nearly caused a serious international diplomatic argument between the UK and the USA. The 'incident' took place on New Year's Eve. A MOD investigation (Ministry of Defence) revealed rampant drug and alcohol abuse by the American soldiers based at the airfield, along with other, less savoury issues such as orgies. The 'Light' they were chasing through the woods....was a Lighthouse, on the coast a few miles away! There were severe disciplinary actions taken against the senior officers on the base for the way it was being run.

Hi, JT. The Loch Ness monster was, apparently, judging by the photograph, an elephant. Just the top of its head and trunk above water. Back then, from what I've been told, there was a circus in the area and the elephants swam in the Loch. I've always thought it was an elephant to be honest. Carol from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I believe that the actual way the photo was faked is even a matter of debate. Some people have even suggested that it is a picture of a whale/dolphin that strayed in from the sea and what we think of as Nessie's head is actually a penis!!! Sometimes I worry about this country lol

The story about Britain's so called roswell is interesting, but nothing crashed. The base was called RAF Bentwater, the base had experienced some very odd occurrences over a few days regarding contacts entering restricted airspace. What makes this story even more Interesting is that it was one of the biggest US airforce storage facilities in europe for nuclear weapons, so a very security sensitive facility. It culminated in Charles Holt, a senior air force officer, taking a party of US service personnel armed with live ammunition out into the nearby woods to find out what was going on. He also took a miniature voice recorder with him. For a senior officer to go to those lengths, which resulted in a pentagon inquiry, that doesn't sound like a hoax, that would have spelled the end of careers for everyone involved.

There is also the business of the breaches of restricted airspace over that site, who knows?

Here's another mystery the Eileen Mohr Lighthouse Vanishings . 3 lighthouse keepers went missing from the island their last log entry read "heavy storms and huge waves" despite locals reporting no such thing . Adding to the mystery there were huge rocks strewn about the island , the handrail on the staircase leading to the lighthouse was twisted and mangled and the nearby church despite being unlocked took a battering ram to open and of course no signs of the lighthouse keepers .

Some time ago you asked for ideas of Scottish things to react to, so how about (1) Greyfriars Bobby, (2), Burke and Hare, (3), The Jacobite Rebellions, (4), The Massacre of Glencoe, (5), The Highland Clearances, (6), The Tay Bridge Disaster, (7), Parliamo Glasgow, (8), Scotch and Wry - and especially Last Call by the Rev. I. M. Jolly; (9) Still Game...? The first two feature historical characters, the middle four are historic events; and the last three were hit TV comedy series.

The suicidal dogs story. I read somewhere that this could be due to the appearance of the greenery or whatever under the bridge. To the dogs, maybe in a certain light, it looks like solid ground, so they jump. Unfortunately it’s not as solid as it seems.

As soon as I saw suicidal dogs, I knew where this was. This bridge is in my home town, 15 -20 minutes walk from my house. When it became a local and then national news story, someone thought because it was only on a clear day that the dogs were getting an optical illusion and thought it was safe on the other side. The house mentioned Overtoun House was used as a maternity home up until the late 60's.

With that dog suicide bridge, there could potentially be a mythological reason: Ley Lines. Ley Lines are pretty much just straight lines on a map, going directly from one place to another. Allegedly, animals have been known to follow these lines, and where two or more lines cross each other it's alleged to have some type of mythical energy/power. I have no idea if any of this has any truth to it, but it's certainly fascinating xxx

The thing about the loch ness monster is the same as those who think megaladon's still swim in the sea......You need a lot of them to exist, one will just die from old age, so you need quite a few to breed etc, so where are all the dead bodies etc, something would have washed up by now etc, also again, as you would need quite a few of them to maintain a population, where are they? Generally the rule is at least 50 to combat inbreeding, 500 to 1000 to reduce genetic drift.

Jack the Ripper: a large number of women were murdered in London's poorer areas almost every week-end. Pubs stayed open until midnight then. Even counting how many women were murdered only by a knife to the belly or throat or both reveals many more than the few 'official' victims of the ripper. The case only reached the papers because two died on one night, one right after being let back out of a cell in a local police station. If anything's being hidden, it's the lack of care by the Police, the 'powers-that-be' or anyone, really.

JT, so the moral of this video is if you're intent on visiting the U.K. including venturing north to Scotland then leave Maggie and Charlie at home just so that they're not tempted to commit doggy suicide, isn't it? 👍😁👍 When it comes to my suggestions of videos that you could be reacting to they obviously include the four days of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations from a fortnight ago. You've got loads to be commenting on regarding those same celebrations including Trooping the Colour on the Thursday, Lizzie and Paddington Bear's afternoon tea immediately before the concert outside of Buckingham Palace on the Saturday and the final day's parade on the Sunday, not forgetting of course Prince Louis and his ability to steal the whole show throughout the entire four days....pretty good going on his part considering that he's only four years of age. ✌😎✌

Was the modern day era of slap stick, which I know the US love. The shows range from Bottom, The Young ones and many more, but the most recent and loved was Bottom. Should look out for Season 1 or Series 1 as we say in the UK and the episode called 'Contestant'... He is loved and missed so dearly from our screens.

We know about the "Suicidal dog bridge". The dogs can smell a local animal who they like to hunt and because of the high walls on the bridge, they think there's land behind it and so try to jump onto that land

I'm from Ireland (Belfast), when it comes to a UK tattoo, the Welsh flag is a no brainer. Maybe come up with several options and put it to a vote. As for the dog bridge, it mentioned the dogs were all long muzzled and it was always the same spot, most likely down to a scent then. Take a blood hound, German shepherd or a pig below and on the bridge and put an end to this tragedy.

A Hand of Glory was the preserved, severed hand from a human corpse a witch had enchanted. Robbers would place a lit candle in the hand to light their way when burgling houses in the belief they could see to burgle by the light of the hand but no one could see them. If you want to see a real one go to the Whitby museum in Yorkshire. They have one there that builders found hidden in the tiles of a cottage roof when they were brought in to do renovations. It is about 200 years old and if the original home owner had been found with it they would probably have been hung. (Or just go to Whitby anyway it is a beautiful).

Now you know where the film "I know what you did last summer" came from. And "The Blair Witch Project"... The problem with myths is if you assert something astounding and you're not immediately and totally ridiculed for it, there will always be someone else who claims they saw it too. The longer it goes on, the more people will persuade themselves they've seen it too. It's human nature, don't know what it is... That's what it must be...

It’s not that uncommon in the uk for people going to a graveyard at night, me and a bunch of mates used to go to a massive one when it was pitch black at night, we had laser tag equipment, it was so much more fun outside in a graveyard about midnight than in some black and neon Smokey room

These are nowhere near the creepiest stories from the UK. The Hexham heads is very spooky. Someone dug up four beast-like statue heads.. took them home and from then on shadowy figures started to appear at night. They got clearer and clearer until one night a solid figure of a wolfman/beast appeared.
