JTS teased us all with a preview of their Airacuda Airguns. Well, they are finally on store shelves and available for everyone, and just in time for the holidays. Today we’ll take a look at the Airacuda MAX in .25 caliber. The Airacuda comes in at an incredible price point but without all the typical compromises that you usually see in a production airgun made to a price point. We’ll get into all the details eventually, but for now, let’s see how the Airacuda Max .25 shoots at 50 yards with a Hawke Sidewinder and some JSB and Hades Pellets.

Hey Rick,good review. Pyramyd Air just delivered to me the same rifle, on Thursday. A total surprise, for one day delivery. I expected at least 4 or 5 days on the deliveryI haven’t shot it yet, but I love how it looks, and all the great features it has. It’s very similar to a rifle I bought last month, The Beeman mod. 1358 under lever in .22 cal. It’s3000 PSI fill,with 880 fps. And they also give a scope i the box. A Beeman scope 4x32….these guns are really bargains for their price point, and my reason for purchasing both. Just going to start the year off a little better than las year..lol when I bought the ZEUS.72 CAL. From AEA, which turned out to be a complete BUST. I hadn’t even shot 50 rounds and the gun died. It just won’t fill with air, and they won’t fix it. Then to make things worse,…lol I have to laugh at myself, but I turned around in May 2022,and bought another AEA gun while I kept trying to get the other one fixed. I bought their .30cal. AEA HP Carbine, and it totally died, won’t shoot at all. And again, AEA won’t fix it.. sooo, here’s hoping these two guns will stand up to the test. I guess I’ll see in a few months..Well enough complaining, keep up the good work, these videos really help us, and we shooters depend on you guys to give it to us without any Fluff…😊

I understand. I bough a AEA challenger 357. Not even 200 shots in and the thing blew up in my face. I ended up researching and this has happened to a good many challenger owners and they refused to fix it. So I’m definitely probably never buying a AEA gun again.

i think a good barrel polish with jb bore paste and then some flitz would tighten up the groups a bit

Great work Rick! Surprisingly different pellets than it's cousin the DAR. Do you think the barrel could use to be de-burred and polished? I wonder what your barrel bore camera would show you? Maybe a little love in that way would help make it a better shooting (aka 100 yd) rifle?

i think if you want the extra shots and the consistent pressure shots go for the max and whats cool with the non regulated ones is you can adjust the power one thing is tho is you have to find its sweet spot one other thing about the unregulated is you have to spend some more time with it and learn the gun and when the bullets velocity starts to drop as that air pressure goes down me personally im shooting for the max i love the stock and the adjustable cheek piece and the regulator i like to get those extra shots hope this helped you out

Thanks, Rick. An airgun dealer told me the airacuda max and the base airacuda both put out the same power. If that's true the only reason not to go with the max is the $100 cost diff?

hello Rick Do you think Shimming the barrel to the breech & bedding the stock could help repeatability of accuracy? I did this to my Redwolf s and it helped a considerable amount.

What's the Factory Reg set at 2100 1900 Seems like no power !!

The reg is set to 150 bar - 2175 psi (stated bar in the video, many bar to psi calcs online). 45 fpe is above average for this class pcp. 55 to 60+ is where the more expensive bigger guns play. This is more than fine for the model and price point. Cheers AGW
