The truth about the so-called "nakhba" - Arabic for "catastrophe". The sad thing is that the Jews were living in peace with the Arabs in Palestine. I was, as a dutch guy, married with an Arab woman from the west bank. Very long time. Sinds 1974. Her father, head of a big Arab family, told me exact the same story as your speaker, son of Hamas. He had a driverschool. Started a new and was thankfull for living among the Jewish people and having the benifit of their economy. They were afraid of growing Islamic culture in a small village.....

I have heard that part of Israel's beginning history many times. The Jews even asked the Arabs to stay, to help them set up their new nation. But Arab neighbors were murdered by other Arabs if they didn't leave. Recent news is not acknowledging this part of Israeli history. Many thanks to Yousef and his grandmother for bringing this truth back to the conversation.

Yes it is very true and to this day you can find Arab Muslims who DID NOT leave their homes during those days and therefore still reside on their lands, the Israeli army never made them leave.

I live in Ontario, Canada. Very close to Toronto. The students here are camped out on the University campuses crying for aid and support for Palestine. They are yelling at schools to aid Palestine and claiming they will "hold the schools accountable." How many schools have you ever heard of that ended a major world conflict? Does the University of Toronto have a secret task force I've never heard of? All across North America protesters are demanding aid and support for people they don't know, at institutions that cannot help them, for a place that they themselves are not willing to go to. Does that make sense? Or is it because they want to wear Hijabs and Keffiyeh and take pictures for their social media pages?People are always willing to protest when it's safe to do so. If you live in a country where you can shout "Death to your country" you don't know the meaning of tyranny or true oppression.
