2024 G. Loomis Owner's Tournament - December 8th, 2024 (Lake Cumberland)

Could use some pointers. What catches bass up here on Cumberland..? Came up from Tennessee mostly fishing Watts Bar lake around Kingston, TN in Roane County. Its a good bass lake about 1 hour from here. I've tried what always works crank baits & spinner baits and couldn't catch a thang. Any tips would be appreciated...

I have to admit, Cumberland is always tough for me. It's about 3.5 hours south of me and I never get the chance to fish it much. However, as you saw in this video, my spinnerbait was the breadwinner for this trip. I have caught many fish there on flats and flatter areas throwing a Shimano World minnow 115 jerkbait also. I think that it's easier to fish now that it is at winter pool. Try the area in and around Fall creek this time of year and further down river. A-rigs work well if you can find them schooling, but be mindful that there are some HUGE striper in this lake too. Fun to catch, but they will mangle an a-rig.

How slow was you fishing the spinnerbait? Gear ratio reel ? Just curious.
