i had this problem yesterday with my mini....watched this ....and this morning put your video into action and ...it worked .....my roof now goes all the way down ...i cannot thank you enough....a very satisfied 47 year old woman from london ..england

I just used this and it worked! I had gotten my car back from the auto body shop, and the soft top no longer worked. I was going to take it back there, and Andre offered to look at You Tube videos, to see if they could fix it, but I pulled up my big girl pants and looked at this video. Sure enough, when I opened the boot, the shelf had been dislodged, so after I got it back into place, it worked just fine! Easy Peasey! Thank you!

OMG! LIFESAVER! Yesterday I made a hard stop to avoid an accident. Then my top wouldn’t work. I reset the pressure plates and it worked! Thank you!

Just tried to put my top down for the first time this year. Only sunroof would open. Got home and went to youtube and found your video. Checked the shelf and as you stated it might be it was not properly in place. Set it as you indicated and lo and behold the top works again! Thanks for taking the time to post the video! Thanks Jason! the roof latches were not locking on the mini for the longest time with one side totally out of place. Watching your video and replicating your suggestions proved to get the top in a proper closed and latched position. No more loud wind noises while driving. You're the MAN!

Cannot thank this man enough. I've been having nightmares about how much this would cost to fix in the U.K. Anything to do with BMW is ridiculously Expensive here. Thankyou so much. It took me ten mins to follow the video and the roof comes down fully Now. Scares me how bad any garage would have been and charged me for this and made out it was a broken part. Thanks i can now have a beautiful uk summer.

Man - I've got a 2009 which is different - but basically the same. Top opens ALMOST all the way then flashes GREEN. But it's the same problem - and you saved me $$$$$!!!! Thank you. I was sooo angry!!! Now it's fixed! Thank you thank you!!!!

This was absolutely awesome!! Thank you!! I had used the key fob to remotely open the top partially, and after that it never opened all the way. Once I repositioned the lock handles and made sure the buttons were in it worked like a charm!!!

Thanks Manny, this was happening on my girlfriends car every so often. I think it's when she puts too many bags in the small boot space and it's lifting the parcel shelf. All fixed now, and she's very happy :-)
