Beachy head, trap shack, possesion are all spots I have gotten fish. Sooke is wonderful for fishing and there are so many runs. I will fish sooke 2 to 3 days a week in july to october .... its that good

+Hunter Cheng Trolling rods bend so much because the line is attached to the downriggers, which have large lead weights up to 20lb at the end. It's the only way to keep your trolling spoon or bait at the depth you want precisely. When the fish bite, the lines release from the downrigger and free themselves from the lead weight.

Swiftsure Bank was very productive this year numbers wise for Chinook... We caught our biggest however south of Cape Flattery off Umatilla Rocks in 230 to 290 feet of water. Cookies an Cream lures were relatively productive, but green and lazer white hoochies harvested the best numbers (with green dragon flashers). The season was cut short two weeks by the WDFW on quotas. Footage of both are covered by our last two videos. Well watched Rod, even when the season's just over who can tire of seeing it once more...

I am so jealous of the natural beauty of your fishing grounds. I did a lot of fishing around Owen sound Ontario it has it's charm but it is not awe inspiring like B.C.

Trolling is not sport fishing. After followjng them witv fish finders, land on top of them with a boat and throw in bait. just waiting for the fish to hook itself, the rest is hauling in dead weight. I dont see the challenge or the fun.
