Juan Pablo Montoya driving a Ferrari F2008 F1 car at Mugello Circuit!

It was a real surprise to see and record the ex-F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car for the very first time. This interesting episode happened last November at Mugello Circuit, in Italy, during the 2021 Finali Mondiali Ferrari, which are held at the end of the 'Corse Clienti' year, as a conclusion of both the various Ferrari Challenge championships and the famous XX and F1 Clienti Programmes.
This last one offeres a small group of enthusiasts the chance to buy Formula 1 single-seaters that have been raced by Scuderia Ferrari in previous seasons and to drive them on the track during dedicated events. The Ferrari F2008 you see in this video is chassis number 265 and since during the whole 4 days of the event it was shared by several drivers, it's very likely the current owner invited Montoya to drive it for a couple of sessions.

There's no easy does it with Montoya. I remember him from the Champ Car series where he dominated. He was driving that Ferrari like he was qualifying. Go hard or go home.

I just finished rewatching the 1999 CART season, such an amazing talent. If he and Schumacher were in EQUAL cars and no team orders, there is no doubt in my mind that he would have wiped the track with Schumi.

You know what? This video is so painful because Montoya should really have never signed to McLaren where Raikkonen was the favourite, and should've remained patient at Williams for Schumacher's seat to open up, or at least went on a sabbatical to Indy until it opened up. He could've driven this car in-period and won a title with it!
