BMW wanted... but Williams didn't want to accept BMW's help and they didn't work together enough. So they decided to go their own way. Williams and BMW each had a motorhome. Ralf was "always" at BMW and JPM was "always" at Williams. Ralf said it was weird.

The problem was Juan, you just weren’t quick enough until it was too late, also missing 2 races in 05 because of an accident didn’t help 06 was a disaster as well

He struggled with the car being difficult during first half. In 2006 his results was close (scored 26 to Kimi's 33, that's above Massa in Ferrari) but he got bored of F1 and crashed in 2 last races.

Not unpopular opinion, he was lucky to have Senna & Prost without a british pilot. He always put down a pilot if his teanmate was british, except in Coulthard situation, but only because Hakkinen was much better. Mika beats Blundell and Coulthard. Do you remember when Mclaren car was too small for Nigel Mansel? . Lucky, Mansell walked out of that stupid situation. And lucky for Ron , he had the power of Mercedes and the skills of Mika. Ron is a glorified team owner, not a great manager .

He's not the God the UK media wants you to believe. Solid driver but nowhere near Senna/Prost level. Not even close.

Difference between Prost and Mansell in 1990 was the cars reliability. Ferrari poorly prepared the second car . I can not put all the blame on the driver. Mansell was not at blame for all failures, far from it . Otherwise , they were in pace and qualifying very tight.
