My God, I remember the day not long after I received soul salvation in 1993. Tried on a brand new dress that I had never worn, when I put it on to go to church that day clearly the Holy Ghost said too tight and I did not ignore his voice. That was the first transformation for me regarding my attire. Compared to when I first heard a voice that told me to go to church that day 1976 and all I had was a banana yellow halter dress, pregnant; 16 years old and abandoned by baby’s daddy. The real journey and change began at COGIC and holiness was definitely the standard compared to today’s church attire. Thank you Prophetess Bynum there are still a few of us out here that hold to the standards of holiness so that the beauty of the Lord will shine brighter the outer trappings of the worldly standards…

As a man who returned to Christ, the first thing I removed from my closet were the tight shirts and pants. No one should have to see my chest, my arms, my thighs, my butt, nor my crotch in any environment. We reflect Christ and holiness to the world and body tight attire dominishes the weight of our words and our testimony. We can dress modernly with modesty.
