Yes, they were being attacked but they were being attacked from a place of ignorance. The only respectful sex worker was the guy. And the only true pastor was the bald guy. Hes a man that kept saying again, you can disagree with me and my standard, but this is the standard I've chosen to live by. Referring to the bible. Meaning, it's not about opinions, it's not about what feels good, it's not about being right or nice in societies eyes, it's that he has simply chosen to live his life according to the bible. And the bible is pretty clear in this specific subject. They all looked so happy to be there, honestly. And I LOVED that the lady pastor said when she was giving her opinion about the soul ties that it was just her opinion based on humanity and nothing to do with the bible. They were honestly pretty great pastors. Pastors that say it's not about what you think, but ground your faith in the bible so you dont have to question. All without sounding condescending(which I hope I'm not but probably am)

I find it really ironic how strong of a stance that the sex workers took on the topic of cheating, considering how many married/committed men or women paid them for sex. My long term boyfriend whom I thought was perfect was one of those people. I thought he was truly perfect for me and I never would have seen it coming. Turns out he was cheating on me with prostitutes the entire time we were together. It destroyed my self esteem, and it was two years before I even began to feel better about myself through counselling and therapy.

completely agree, i said this in a comment earlier but it just has to do with the type of people that tend to go into these fields. the sex workers are bold, wild (not in a bad way), yolo people. And that's super fun. But that mindset blows up opinions a lot while the pastors are very conservative, modest people. They are taught to respect in that way more than the others have because they feel they have been more oppressed
@tvbnine7936 жыл бұрын
exactly. Nobody should ever look down on anyone for anything that they've done, as a Christian I've been taught that only God can do that. Jesus spent most of his time with the 'unsavory' characters, like prostitutes, thieves, alcoholics, murderers, etc. We're all human, nobody's perfect and we all make mistakes, pastors and priests included. Just because you say “I feel like“ or “I think“ doesn't make it automatically more respektful. There is a difference between saying “it's not something for me“ and “(I think) it is bad“. With the second one you are judging wether or not you include something like “I think“. And when you are judging people doing stuff in mutual consent that for me is intolerance. I didn't see how they went after his religion.

I'm a porn addict, and I'm still actively fighting it. Porn has had a real negative impact on my life. It was consuming large amounts of my time. I would look for any excuse to watch porn. My thoughts were constantly sexual, and just like many people, after masturbating there's just this feeling of loneliness that cripples you. I've tried desperately to get help. I have a friend and me and him are nofap together, I've tried getting rid of everyway I can conveniently watch porn (which has failed) and I've even looked for hotlines to help. There aren't any that I could find. You can't use porn for sexual education when you know almost everything about it. At that point you use it because there's that part in you that's stuck doing it. and if anyone reading this is struggling with it, I'm fighting it too so you ain't alone.

Compared to some other episodes of Middle Ground(Satanists, or Trump supporters for example), I honestly think that what we saw here were genuine reactions to eachothers points of view, instead of one side pushing their opinions on others or being manipulative. This is just my perception, and it's totally cool if you don't think the same.
