"So you would break up a family because of getting cheated on" is the wildest form of victim blaming. i dont see how thats victim blaming. if the person in question reasons that breaking up the family even more than it already has been would cause further disfunction within the family or have some other negative drawback, why cant they make the best decision for the group? just because one person "broke" the family doesn't mean you just give up on it, it doesn't matter who's fault it is. the thought processes im seeing to argue this point seem to be akin to revenge, selfishness, and other subjective things. I know its definately not a one to one comparison, but imagine your friend betrays a group you are all in, then rejoins. should you betray the entire group again just to show your "friend" what it feels like, then proceed to tell the group its the friends fault you betrayed a second time? I obviously disagree with that guy on some level though, there are many circumstances and sometimes one does have to break up with someone if they deem that the best case for everyone, sometimes you need to put your own needs first, etc. I just feel like some of the reasoning im seeing on how this works is a bit absurd to me personally, but maybe i just dont understand.

I agree with you but to a lesser extent. Cheating should be a dealbreaker and people should take it seriously and be extremely upset about it when it happens. And we shouldn't discount it as a bad thing because certain things are worse. It's a violation of trust and it really hurts someone. But some people are now saying cheating is abuse. Love is unconditional however a relationship is conditional. Once the trust of our relationship has been broken by cheating then 9/10 that's the end of the relationship. Doesn't mean that the love I have for that person isn't there anymore.

Honestly I really liked this whole group (besides the woman in the sparkly dress, she has some extremely weird opinions) They seem to be respectful people and even though I didn't agree with everything, I thought they all articulated their views very well! I really enjoyed this episode!

Asher breaks all conventions about what I come to expect from these videos. When he hears a point, he doesnt further strengthen his position, he thinks about it and then confirms or denies the point like everyone should. Be open minded like Asher

The lady in the red dress says she wouldn't break up her family if her husband cheated hypothetically but if cheating is a boundary for me and you break it, you are breaking up our family. Us co-parenting does not hinder the father/mother having a relationship with the child

If cheating was the worst thing a partner could do the world would be a paradise. I can think of dozens of things that are worse.

the fact that people genuinely believe that men and women can't just be friends is crazy to me
@Tomodance3310 ай бұрын
Well it's a nuanced topic, I don't want to go all jordan peterson but it depends on what you really mean by friends and what qualifies as friends

It's definitely difficult for straight men and women though to be truly friends without expecting or hoping anything else happens. Typically I feel the guy would need to be more attractive than the girl in order to have a better success rate at just being 100% friends. It would be incredibly surprising to me if a guy has a female friend who is attractive that he wouldn't hope in the back of his mind that he gets to sleep with her. Women have a much easier access to sex so they wouldn't really need to rely on their friend to get it.

Think about this: does your mother have male friends? I’d guess probably no cuz mine doesn’t and my dad doesn’t have any female friends either

I genuinely believe it because that has been my experience my whole life. I've tried, I really have tried to just be friends with women. Every. Single. Time. Either I eventually get attracted to them or they get attracted to me and because of it we stop being friends. This has happened to me over 10 times in my life. I will never be convinced it is possible. Someone ALWAYS has it in the back of their mind, whether they want to admit it or not.

All my closest friends, and longest friendships, are with men and we have never hooked up or even discussed the possibility. So the answer is: YES. Men and women can just be friends.

You're using anecdotal evidence to try and prove a fact? Smart.

yes but there's a barrier/limit that u you will never see ,unlike with male to male friends.

@@ShinigamiXL_ What statistics say otherwise? Most normal people can have friends of the opposite gender and they do.

@@claff4573 That doesn't change the fact that MOST men will find MOST women attractive, regardless of friendship.
