Easily my favourite song from the new album. I can only begin to imagine what this would sound like with Rob's "Halford-era" vocals. Not very metal I know, but try listening to Battlecry on an ipod whilst in a supermarket. Every purchase of milk or eggs feels like a decisive metal strike for glory. Also, Dragonaut is amazing if you have a long uphill climb on your journey somewhere. Certainly helped me make my dentist appointment on time.

Good point but I kinda dig that lack of production you claim this album has, gives it a real feel.. You know what I'm saying.
@MetalSalvation3 жыл бұрын
@@pedrotrejo8118 Some of the songs sound okay with this production (especially the title track), but I think on this song in particular the production doesn't do it justice...especially during that epic/climactic sounding part following the main solo, the background rhythm guitar sounds like a weak demo track which takes away from the emotional impact that part could've potentially had with a stronger production.

Awesome song. True music genius what he is able to do with his voice. His range has limitations in his older age, and but he still sings n harmony, using vocal trickery only a True Vocalist could pull off. If he made this song in the 80's, the last part of the chorus before the words "Battle Cry" would have been 1 or 2 octaves higher. He is awesome! He is the Metal Messiah!
