Its strange but this entire album feels like its words being recited by a crazy old man from the dark ages, a rainy night, sitting by his fire in his small room alone after spending his day condemning prisoners to their fate and delivering sermons. It really sounds like its from the 1600s or something.

Nostradamus is their most significant album after Defenders and Painkiller. Beautiful harmonies, kick-ass vocals and drums... I would die for this.

By far the best Judas Priest album. Rob showed everyone the huge range of his voice. Amazing guitars and solos, incredible keys, awesome concept.

Compared to what?... NOT CLASSIC early 80's-mid 80's when Priest was at their hight in America. Rob has (had)a 4+ octave range which for a man is unheard of...call me OLD, but this to me is just NOISE and not a "good" noise..I'm just becoming a grumpy lady 😐🙄

@Funky Tunk what’s the difference, no one could match his range, absolutely no one. There were a lot of high vocal range singers in that day, and they were all incredible. But Rob was unmatchable back in the day, and he kept his range for a long time, it didn’t just “go away” like most people like to say it did until about 2002 he had that shit on lock down.

Huge Priest fan here. I was stoked for this album and bought the cd when it was released. I played it all the way through, and what I discovered for me was cd 1 was not grabbing me and I found it weak but it was the second disc that I instantly found I wanted to listen to over and over. Still to this day the second cd gets constant rotation.

I must admit that I think of this song as Judas Priest's version of Take Hold of the Flame by Queensryche due to that screaming high note Rob Halford was still capable of belting out at the time. This song really does hit deep, and I mean like... BIG time deep! It's living proof that Rob Halford's vocal talent didn't fade away so fast.

The main riff of this song kind of resurfaces in another form during Hellfire Thunderbolt by K.K's Priest. I don't know...maybe K.K. wrote this riff and made something very similar when he wrote Hellfire Thunderbolt. That aside, this is epic Judas Priest heavy metal. I don't know why people didn't enjoy this album, it's still every bit Priest even with symphonic elements.
