Great review. I agree - why doesn’t this song get more exposure and recognition??? I love every song on this album but this one is my absolute favorite. Lots of complexities- vocally and with all the instruments. Keen observations, nice job, impressed.

My personal opinion is because the other tracks slap and he goes slightly too high in his vocal range almost bites my ears when it's cranked up. But it's my favorite song on the album by far.

I saw this concert and you literally could feel the concrete vibrate under your feet along with your whole body especially when he rides his mic'd up Harley Davidson on stage. Just awesome

Great reaction! If you'd like to dig further back into Priest's catalog, the ancestral metal lineage to "Stained Class" (1978) is untraceable. It is literally the product of 5 musicians at the top of their game, all in their late 20's, firing on all cylinders, creating something the world had never heard before. I consider it not only the best heavy metal album of all time (or at least the most influential), but instead one of the greatest pieces of music and lyrics recorded in the 20th Century. It took 5 years until the metal community could even catch up to this one (Metallica - "Kill Em All), at least in terms of impact. Even Iron Maiden never recorded anything as monumental as "Stained Class" - and Maiden recorded some masterpieces in their early days.

Priest invented metal, btw. Then showed everyone how it should be done again with "Painkiller".
Painkiller gets all the press, but the one knock on it, is the first time hearing Rob and that song is just a lot of his high warlock voice which catches people off guard, at the end of the Painkiller he finally goes to his normal place and they go "ok there's his normal voice". This one is like Painkiller but the opposite vocals with his voice more in his mid range with visits to high voice land. Both musically are pure monsters. Like you said soul soaring stuff.
